I just got back from seeing Thor: Love and Thunder tonight and came a way a bit disappointed, so would probably agree with what you said.Thought it was ok, probably 7/10 but would like to see it again. Only concern is that maybe it’s a little forgettable.
Not very ‘spoilery’ spoilers but hidden as I know people have different tolerance levels for this:
Pros:
- Reasonable run time of 2hrs,
- Quite funny, depends how much you like Waititi’s humour. Korg and Russell Crowe probably funniest,
- Standard Marvel good special effects,
- Christian Bale.
Cons:
- As I said above, maybe forgettable. Doesn’t necessarily move the ‘Universe’ on that much,
- Tessa Thompson can’t decide what accent to do (she’s super beautiful though so I forgive her ),
- A slight feeling of making up the ‘rules’ of the Universe as they go,
- Was this movie God of War?
I found is less funny than Ragnarok and Infinity War/End Game.
Guardians of the Galaxy are barely in it. Chris Pratt is the only one who says anything really (and looked weirdly gaunt).
I was hoping after end game that they would have more screen time together.
In fact, I think I might be in a minority in enjoying Dr. Strange and the multiverse of madness more than this!
