Thor: Love and Thunder

Thought it was ok, probably 7/10 but would like to see it again. Only concern is that maybe it’s a little forgettable.

Not very ‘spoilery’ spoilers but hidden as I know people have different tolerance levels for this:

Pros:
- Reasonable run time of 2hrs,
- Quite funny, depends how much you like Waititi’s humour. Korg and Russell Crowe probably funniest,
- Standard Marvel good special effects,
- Christian Bale.

Cons:
- As I said above, maybe forgettable. Doesn’t necessarily move the ‘Universe’ on that much,
- Tessa Thompson can’t decide what accent to do (she’s super beautiful though so I forgive her :p ),
- A slight feeling of making up the ‘rules’ of the Universe as they go,
- Was this movie God of War?
I just got back from seeing Thor: Love and Thunder tonight and came a way a bit disappointed, so would probably agree with what you said.

I found is  less funny than Ragnarok and Infinity War/End Game.

Guardians of the Galaxy are barely in it. Chris Pratt is the only one who says anything really (and looked weirdly gaunt).

I was hoping after end game that they would have more screen time together.

In fact, I think I might be in a minority in enjoying Dr. Strange and the multiverse of madness more than this!

Was a good watch. I actually found it a bit too silly for the most part. Some of the humour was fantastic, but it was overwhelming after a while as it rarely ceased. Bale was BRILLIANT.

It was alright, an average Marvel movie, forgettable as others have said. Comedy wise it had a few funny-ish moments, but as others have alluded to, it gets tedious after a while. Thor just isn't a funny character. Bale was chronically underused imho he could have done so much more.

6/10 from me. One of the better Marvel film from phase 4 so far and that's saying something imho. They have all been pretty dire. I hope personally they don't mess up GoTG 3 or the next Ant-Man film.

It takes some really special talent to ruin a carachter like Thor.

There's so much material you could pull from, so much Lore, a pantheon of Gods - but no, let's make him the butt of cringe humour, make him a slob, make him stupid, let's have up tied up wtih his arse out, bring in a fem with CGI arms to upstage him - all in the name of the Cult of Woke.

Just tear that man down!

Did the same with Loki mind you, replaced with a cringe fem Loki no-one cared about - "I know let's make another Loki but who is a fem and is just so much better than him in every way"

Smash the patriarchy with z-list Super-heroes!

Watched last night 6/10.
Bad gags, Portman simply bored, Crowe doing the worst Brando impression. It didn't know what it wanted to be.

Bale has single handedly saved this movie.

I'd rank this as in bottom three Marvel movies, gags got boring, it's became quite woke and vastly disappointing.

People banging on about Thor's tremendous character arc. 4/10 wouldn't watch again. They've got a long long way to go till they get back to the levels they reach in The Winter Soldier etc.

I’d agree.

Watched it this morning in Screen X, I'd say nearly a 1/4 of the movie made use of it and this was first film I've seen in years where staff were actively walking up and down the screen looking for people on their phones or recording bits.

Enjoyed it for the most part, the goats started getting too much half way through but they kept going with it. It's like it wasn't sure what tone it wanted to be, we've got a great cold opening back story and a villain that is actually motivated and then we cut to all the Thor scenes that are over the top trying to be funny and then cut back to super serious, Bale didn't really get to do much god slaying which is a shame as I feel like they underused him at times.

With the after credit scenes will be interesting seeing when they can add Hercules into the timeline or save him for Thor 5 if we get it, the same with Jayne potentially becoming a valkyr.

Quite disappointed. I haven't seen it yet but those who I know who have gone have and seen it have said it's not great. Sad as I loved Ragnarok.

They've had so many hits they can afford the odd miss

You’ll probably think it’s at least ok if you enjoyed Ragnarok.
