TIME FOR ANOTHER 6900 XT DEAL? I THINK SO! *PRE-ORDER SPECIAL* PLUS SOME OTHER AMD DEALS!

So is the 7000 series looking to be another poo show?

The 6000 cards were great, so not sure what you mean?

Cheaper, as fast as makes no difference, better IQ, far better software...only thing as a gamer NV do better is RT, which most people don't care about, and outside of forums like these gamers in the "real world" don't even know what it is...

There won't be any "bendy/burny cable routlette" with the AMD cards either...

:D

How do you mean 'poo show'? :p

If they looking to be solid performers going from leaks and official slides etc

In terms of stock levels & fake MSRPs.

Well fake MSRPs will be down to the retailers I guess and as for stock levels we can't really say for sure but some recent leaks have suggested that initial launch stock will be low. I bet retailers are rubbing their hands together in anticipation :p
there is always some fear mongering before any launch to make people rabid to over spend as soon as something becomes available for fear of missing out

Nice looking card and very tempting over my 6800 - RT comparable to a 3070ti?

Hard to justify with the 7xxx series coming soon though...

Also some fantastic Chinglish on the product description:

"Designed to avoid PCB bending. The fancy outlook makes the graphic card more legendary in visual. It also helps to enhance cooling with the premium thermal pads equipped backside."

AMD would love to enjoy high margins like Nvidia. Just look how greedy they were with their Zen4 CPU's on launch, ridiculous prices.

The sad fact is, Nvidia have 88% market share of the dedicated GPU market. The majority don't want a AMD GPU, so AMD has to give brand new cards "away" at huge discounts.

In comparison - far more people are buying USED 3090's (2 years+ old at this point, with a likely history of mining) for £700-£750 instead of a brand new AMD 6900XT. Just check OCUK MM, or popular auction sites to see evidence of this.
Good luck with that ticking time bomb. Buildzoid did a you tube vid about ex mining GPUs and it was a horror show. I’d rather buy new than buy a mining gpu from an Iran warehouse where the card has been spanked to within an inch of its life. But that’s just me.

AMD are enjoying high margins like Nvidia. They are making 60% too. It's a bit cynical, but I suppose after Polaris they fancied trying something new (IE Polaris was cut price low profit). Had they followed up Polaris with Navi? they would be in a much better position. Vega was a hard fail.

I suppose they are happy with how the whole covid mining thing went and are happy to sell off their old stock at a lower price. And yeah, MAYBE the 30 series are still at or over RRP but have you seen them sell out yet? no. Have you seen 5 page threads over a 30 card on sale? no. So your idea of "desperate" could actually be "smart and clever".

They don't want to compete with themselves when the new cards come along. And I don't blame them, because the 7000 series are going to be much more profitable due to the design.

Hi there

The cards have arrived in the UK (Asrock 6900 XT OCF) and are due to be delivered with us tomorrow. :)

If you want one at pre-order price, act fast!

Going to be real here, I love my 6900 XT and the Radeon software is fantastic, now if we went back not too long ago when I owned a 5700 XT, I could have cut someone with an axe to how bad my experience was with that card.

The 6900 XT is glorious.
When I first got my 5700XT in 2019 the amount of crashes I experienced was unreal, I really regretted getting it at that time. I can feel you there.
