Thank you... Never had a high-end GPU until now, so I wasn't expecting it to be as hot as fire. When I was using my 1660 Super, I saw temps of 76C, not 96C.

I think whats also telling apart from the cryptic clues on this forum is I havent seen the competitor announce their normal shop promotion for tomorrow too.

@Gibbo is this still going for the price or should we expect the increase now it's not on Pre-Order status?
It shall be increasing, I've held the price for those who wanted to see reviews of 7900 series.

OK, so the last of the first 100 can still be got for the price, but not for much longer (store price not increased as of this post yet). Thanks for confirming, and thanks for doing the deal so for those of us waitng on the 7900 series.

6800xt is not far off and cosumes less power. Have a look at that instead.
They're less power hungry than 3080/90s and you could always undervolt

I've pulled the trigger despite my earlier comments. I've been in perpetuity with a 1070 since god knows when and my next upgrade was always going to be a 3070....this is better no I've also upgraded my cheapo power supply for this beastie...The card will bottleneck my i5 9600K , thats for another day but I still have some overclocking room. The main reason is VR and flight sims although I'll do a re run of Half Life Alyx in VR for the sheer hell of it.
As for power consumption, not ideal but I only game a couple of hours every other night at most.
Regarding the games, can I pass these on to my son, not sure how it works I presume its some kind of download / code thing.

I'm predominantly a Cod gamer so would see a decent bump in fps in that game specifically.
I could do but I am limited to a 750w psu in this case without spending big bucks on a 1000w SFX unit. That particular card from reviews seems to draw well into the 400w markThey're less power hungry than 3080/90s and you could always undervolt

Still not convinced by this deal if I'm honest. Also with the reception of the 7900 cards have received I'd be expecting them to get a price cut in the new year if they want to sell any!
