Tomb Raider 2: Rise of the Tomb Raider Announced

As a reward for Square Enix's blatant disregard for fans of the series(who are also their customers) I'll pick this up second hand when it's released on PS4. They ain't getting any of my money for it.

Now confirmed as a timed exclusive why not do that yesterday & save getting all the deserved negative reaction  all MS have done is pay to deny other platform gamers the experience @ launch. Not the way to go about winning some lost customers back is it MS :( they only mention timed exclusive now to limit further PR damage they would not have mentioned it otherwise would they!

Does not help Square Enix/CD either many like me will only buy when its -75% cheap to reward the disrespect shown towards our hard earned support in previous years which obviously was not good enough & meant nothing to the developer/publisher

could not agree more..all it did was annoy people and now they have had to come out and say this...but the damage has been done to the developers credibility already

Threads were merged - it's like magic!

The threads won't be able to me unmerged, so will move this back to consoles as it is a predominantly console discussion - feel free to open a new thread in PC games to discuss the potential (inevitable..) release of a PC version.

Seems like the right place based on current news :(

I have no idea what they are examples of, some of them have always been on PS. MGS was originally PS only and carried on being so for the most part. Likewise with Time Crisis, Heavy Rain was a new IP and so on.

If they are examples then you can say Gears of War, Halo etc are prime examples. It's like everyone is saying the same about Bloodborne ie. the Dark Souls 1/2 crowd. It's more akin to Demon Souls which again was a PS only game, it's being made by Sony and others so why would they make it multi platform like Microsoft don't with gears of war.

I know it's been announced as a timed exclusive it's just not clear when it'll be released to other platforms. So i can see why others have raged as originally it was made big on PS then calmed down and the newer one was multi platform only to be then be an exclusive even if it's timed.

I'll just buy it second hand and not hand the company any money, as personally i don't agree with it. That's my choice though, i'd do the same with any others games that do the same.

Halo wouldn't be as Bungie were a Microsoft owned subsidiary.

It would be fun holding you to that.

If it's a new game and it's decided they want to focus on one console, then that's fine with me for both sides. I'll end up with both consoles eventually anyway and some of the Xbone games i can't get on the PS4 and vice versa.

It's when a game has been on both then gets turned into an exclusive then it's when i don't actually agree with it. You can understand customers getting angry when that happens, especially having played the previous copy.
