I don't think it is OK, because they are using it as a front to push their oppressive stance. I don't believe that they should be able to oppress a whole people because of their beliefs.

If they were against extremism in all it's forms (or even just extremist Islam) I wouldn't hate EDL the way I do, but the only thing they stand for is extremism of their own form.

Yes, many elements of extremism (should as the oppression of women/homosexuals) need to be combated - but this can be achieved without resorting to the kind of language used by the EDL.

But two small examples.If i really wanted to be spiteful i could do it for endless subjects.

This may all be true but the issue I have with all of it is that none of it has been seen in my own experiences.

There was one rogue fella that went and killed his wife and her lover, over ten years ago, because he was jealous - not because he was a Muslim. It's the only thing I've ever known of first-hand that any Muslim I've known has ever done anything that was out of the ordinary.

I've never been coerced into joining their religion, I've never felt pressured into doing something I didn't want to do.

The ones I know are very nice, are very relaxed people, they just believe that there's a big fella in the sky. There are many christians in the world that are very good people and lead very fulfilling lives and are good to others and respect people not of the same faith. They are the same type of people following a different faith.

I don't like the fact that Christianity, in the past, used their religion to force oppression on others and I don't like that of Islam either. I don't judge all Christians by it and likewise I don't judge all Muslims.
