Very clear night and the stars are looking good. Seen Lunar eclipses before, but this is a very good one.
Been out there for a while now and once my eyes got used to the light, I was able, for the very first time to make out a very faint smudge running across the sky. I was quite chuffed when I realised it was the Milky Way. Not bad, considering I live in the middle of town.
A question for one for the more committed star gazers armed with a telescope or bino's. Is the second bright 'star' to the upper right of the Moon, Saturn? I know it's up in that part of the sky somewhere tonight, just not sure where exactly.
