Tower block fire - london

Not really sure what they are protesting about? It's done, it will be investigated and one way or another we will learn from this - that's all for the future though. In the mean time they've said over and over that they'll support the victims, rehouse them as soon and close as possible... storming the council building is not really going to help is it, idiots.

None of that makes any odds if they don't believe in the council any more - if the deeds don't match the words.

Because everyone sees that due process protects everyone but the victim.

well they want 'justice' and they want answers immediately...

The mood of that crowd was interesting most were unhappy but relatively restrained - IMO that shows a deeper anger and not just a knee jerk flare of temper and if those in authority don't do something tangible quickly its probably going to get real ugly the more they think and feel they are being ignored.

Well the council basically burnt down their home, reciprocation might be flowing through some minds.

Just seen a video on Facebook (lols) entitled 'video the bbc won't air' with someone claiming that their building was targeted deliberately with a bad refurb, in order for something like this to happen, so they can just knock it down and remove all the poor people from the area

Do we?

You think they would have things to rescue people out of these high tower blocks by now especially in london.
Seems particularly lapse to not have a platform from which firefighters can spray water that goes higher than about the 10th floor, when so many tall residential towers are located in London.

Look how long Hillsborough took mate. You think we'd have seen a resolution on that without those affected keeping up a long, long campaign of protest?

TBF the comms coming from the council has been nothing short of shocking. They may be doing things behind the scenes but I've seen little reassurances from any spokesperson, that's all it needs.

Its amazing how underestimated the little things like keeping people atleast somewhat in the loop are and the more people perceive being ignored the more resentment builds (although at the same time some trite comments won't go down well either).

I can't help but think that tower blocks of considerable size should have some way of keeping tabs on the total number of people coming in/out the block, this devastated tower block has ~70 people missing and some sort of sensor would help reveal how many poor people are dead in the flats.

They're probably all busy on the phone to the scrapyard, trying to get those 3x water cannon vehicles back, that Boris Johnson bought.
