be honest about your true motivation for wanting May to go to the site and met the 'people'. You have admitted she would have (inevitably) faced abuse and I doubt her presence would have helped the bereaved displaced residents in any way... I'm suggesting the only reason you advocate she should have done it is that you wanted her to face a hostile mob so you could gloat about it.

Diverting the resources of the emergency services (who were still engaged in working at the scene) and providing a target to an agitated, emotional and in some cases bereaved group just so she could show what a 'real' person she was would have been the right thing to do........??
