Tower block fire - london

May's done. Her goose is cooked.

She was likely fatally wounded by the electoral disaster she produced but her utter failure to respond sensibly to the fire has completely wrecked her standing. The Tories will seek to get rid of her in order to stop too much of her rot spreading to the rest of the party. I suspect she'll go after the Queen's Speech.

She's not a warm woman, that much is obvious, but lacking Corbyn's human touch and the likelyhood of hostility would not have stopped any other Prime Minister from visiting residents. It's frankly incredible that she's so poor a leader as to misjudge this so badly. I suspect an election held today would produce an absolute landslide victory for Labour. The speed of turnaround has been incredible; I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. Even when Brown fumbled the Election-That-Wasn't, things didn't go downhill this quickly.

Diverting the resources of the emergency services (who were still engaged in working at the scene) and providing a target to an agitated, emotional and in some cases bereaved group just so she could show what a 'real' person she was would have been the right thing to do........??

Of course..She would have just waltz into an area willy nilly without any prior organisation? :p

You need more I'm afraid

Cut to the chase - that's more like it.

I'm sure the sight of May being ambushed and abused would have done her career wonders....

In my opinion Corbyn's a fraud and a dangerous one at that. His shameless attempt to push his true politics (seize the private property of the 'rich') in the immediate aftermath of a disaster combined with his tacit support for the more violent elements of the Communist/ Marxist fringe he's on shows what he's truly about and what lies ahead if the general public are ever stupid enough to vote for good old nice personable 'uncle' Jeremey

Welcome to the social media generation of politics.

It's no longer about actually doing anything but having the correct time line photo update

Well I suppose at least Trump (and/or his people) were smart enough to know how easy it is to buy the votes of the gullible who cant actually deal with the issues at hand and take their guidance of a social media time line.........

Not a stunning endorsement is it?

In this country buying votes costs at least a BA with honours....

I don't think he is a fraud.

If he was fairly new on the scene, i'd buy into that but he's been on the block with the same aspirations for decades.

I may not agree with a lot of his principles, but at least he holds them with dignity.

Can't say the same for most of the other main stage MPs.

Both campaigns were are able to buy advertising on social media, target ads to certain people etc... the original study based on a psychometric test from a research group at Cambridge University received plenty of press attention - any data scientist who cared to look could read the original paper, register and download the data etc..

Yeah, the old spend decades protesting The Tories Involvement with Apartheid, Pinochet's Chilie etc etc defence.
Face it, he's a fraud who courted this position because hes a May/Blair/Thatcher.

He's not perfect, in fact I disagree with him in a number of ways, but he's clearly No May/Blair/Thatcher, he is more human and socially capable than those personality psychopath leaders and for that alone he gets my support!

confirming what exactly? You told another poster to 'educate' himself then mentioned Trump I 'm too really sure what your point was but I thought it might be worth pointing out that targeting people on social media isn't exactly confined to Trump's campaign and is pretty well know
