Township Tale

i cant find the rift version, tried Steam, tried the Township Tale website, clicking on shop takes you to Oculus, not there either

There's a download option on the website. For the launcher, that then installs the app. I thought I installed the oculus version, but it insists on loading steam vr anyway. maybe interfaces are different.

So sorry Unseul. I was online but had the Quest 2 on silent with all notifications turned off. I was on the phone with the bank (Well on hold for around an hour!!) So I didn't want to lose my place in the Queue. I didn't see your chat notification until now!!

I invited some of you to the server. If anybody who wants to play just post your Alta account name here and I will send you an invite. I don't really want to post the invite code here.

EDIT: Maybe I am mistaken about something. That video contradicts something I have read. That the invite code lets you join the server without needing someone there to accept a join request. While the video says that you still need to approve the request.

Also, I tried using Virtual Desktop and Air link. It was very awkward getting Virtual Desktop to work with the game. You have to launch Virtual desktop, then press the launch steam VR button and then play the game. Airlink was easier, connect to your PC and just start the game from the Alta Launcher on the desktop. My problem with Air Link was the sounds weren't playing.

I've got Virtual desktop working with it, airlink looked very smeary. Takes a couple of goes to get the order as it wishes though.

Did some rock cutting to start on the way across to the carpentry. Did a bit of a chest run too, looking for tnt to open up the dust bowl.

I did a chest run too, and broke some of the boxes and urns. If you noticed everything was just thrown anywhere I found. Going to Tidy up when I am next online.

What did you think of it compared to the Quest 2 version?

there are 2 versions , 1 via Steam VR and the other via Oculus, try downloading the other one and give it another try

There is only one version, that's the one you download from the TownshipTale VR. You can switch between using Steam VR and Oculus in the game's launcher. I got it working in both, I was just telling other people how to get it running in Virtual Desktop as it's easy to do with Airlink.

Looks a bit nicer. I like the fact stuff loads in from further most of all.

So far though, not much different but I'm sure that'll change.

Hoping to get tnt since woodis easier too get on the dust bowl area.

I try opening it in oculus but it still opens steam vr.

Oh there isn't much difference in general gameplay, I just find it a nicer place to be. :)

I believe it's just the runtime it uses. It will probably run faster if you use the Oculus runtime.
