Traffic filters will divide Oxford into six '15 minute' neighbourhoods

It's more like a risky bridge for the council.

No really, not anymore,

Sadiq Khan accused of manipulating public consultation results on expansion of Ultra Low Emission Zone by excluding negative votes.

Tfl also doing the same.

It does not matter what you think anymore.

Britain is a democracy - same with council elections. So its rather obvious if the changes **** off the locals their competitor will overturn it to win at the next election.

It isnt China addicted to the Lucifer Effect.

I think it was Dartford River Crossing charges supposed to be temporary to cover the cost, the charges have paid for it twice and still charging.

Congestion charge only for the city of London.
Congestion charge covid prices and extending the hours and days would be temporary.
Ulez growing in size.
Other cities having the same policies.

Now there are plans to put tolls on London bridges.
Want to cross a bridge pay a toll.

Any new charges for access in London will end up in your town.

Etc...

I’m a bit out of date as I haven’t lived in Oxford for years, but I always found their park and ride maddening.

It cost significant cash to ‘pay and display’ as well as your bus ticket. It was completely uneconomic to not park at the Westgate centre (in town), which was also quicker to do than catch the bus…

If you want people to use public transport, which I’m not against using in principle, then it at least needs to be as good (but ideally better) as just driving. And definitely not a ‘crap option’.

Oxford has always been a miserable place to be IMO. The City just sort of hates itself. Everything is needlessly crap and difficult.

Does anyone remember how long they took to put in that super awkward bypass/junction in at the top of Abingdon Road close to the A34?! At the Kennington Roundabout. My god! :o

LTNs aren't about emissions, polution, health or anything like that, otherwise electric cars would be allowed through. They have the tech, the ones near me that aren't physically blocked off are monitored by anpr cameras.

Are you really trying to suggest khan 'rigged' the consultation? Pretty crap rigging, it went from 59.4% opposed to a whopping 62.4% opposed with those extra numbers.
For the record, I wasn't consulated so naturally it was indeed rigged.
