ok
I agree with the higher wages part but not the rest. I'm pretty sure if a player was offered the same wages, they'd pick a "top" London team over Monaco. Whether Spurs are considered a big enough draw or not, I'm not sure. But the allure of the BPL is certainly greater than Ligue 1, it's usually just the transfer fee and wages side that's the stumbling block when compared to PSG and Monaco.

He's obviously joining Liverpool then.
Seen the clip. For the record, Vidal comes through arrivals pushing his trolley, SI reporter on at him: Are you staying? Are you staying?
Conversation is stop-start + in snatches. “I’m still on holiday" etc “training starts Monday” “I still haven't spoken to MA or my team/mates
Vidal exits the airport. SI reporter keeps pushing: Are you staying? But are staying? Vidal: I don’t know. I don’t know. I’m happy here”
And either SI cut off when he has supposedly said: I’m not going to Manchester OR he didn’t say it. That’s unclear. The rest is faithful
Not even in your wildest dreams![]()
These Vidal quotes have been twisted by a lot of different people. The Manchester bit was apparently "off camera" and Di Marzio and others haven't mentioned it.
James Horncastle (@JamesHorncastle):
Seems like a pretty bog standard diplomatic answer to me, and probably shouldn't be read into. Doesn't seem to be sure if he's staying though...
If he did say he isn't going to Manchester on Monday, well that doesn't mean much either.
I am worried we're not in for him at all though at the moment, but who knows.
Edit: I have just watched the video (I don't speak Italian) but I think I did hear Manchester mentioned, and he said "no, no" in a sheepish sort of way and then laughed.
So basically, we don't know much else. At least something should happen next week for good or bad.

Keep saying that, has gotten him pretty close to united
The reporter asks him in the video, you dont need to see a quote i just translated it for youI haven't seen a single quote anywhere where he said he's staying, just that he doesn't know.
Anyway, we'll see what happens, I don't think it'll happen unfortunately.

Why does everyone else say differently then?
Pretty strange. So he doesn't say "I don't know, I don't know"? As James Horncastle said (and he speaks fluent Italian).
There must be a clear difference or is some of it open to interpretation?
I still think we'd get him with a massive offer, but I don't think we're prepared to make that offer and LvG wants a holding player next to Herrera instead (which sucks but is sort of understandable).
My italian is not the best but i could clearly understand him the most important parts any way.
The reporter says "Rimanere al Juventus?" Which means are you staying at Juventus? Vidal then says "si si Rimanere Rimanere. Which means "yes yes i am staying."
Ian Rush went to Juve and then back to Liverpool after Heysel.
