I've thought the deal was always a bit hit and miss as to whether it would happen but I don't really think his response changes anything. He's under contract to Juve, he likes the club. It would be daft to say anything other than what he said.

there's also talk we've bid for Schneiderlin and i wouldn't be too surprised if we landed him but i agree, it's the defence that needs addressing first. i saw highlights of the spurs game against toronto and capoue looks like he could come good this season and may push sandro out but he could really aid our defence by cutting out attacks if he makes an impact.

There was a video leaked earlier on of Mangala flying in on a private jet, having his medical and even having a short interview saying how he can't wait to win titles etc.

I think it's fair to say we can't read into what he said at the airport (either way) as he just wanted to get away from the reporters. I guess something will come out after his meeting with Allegri, he'll probably stay unless we make that £40m bid.

A lot of people are reading into the laugh as well, all i know is nobody really knows whats going on everyone seems confused on the matter.

More rumors of vidal to Liverpool instead of Man U, I don't think we particularly need him, we need a new CB and LB first. But it might be worth it, just for robbo's reaction.
Urgh Spurs keep shooting themselves in the foot. Dawson to Hull and Chiriches to Roma leaves us with Vertonghen, Kaboooom and Vejlkovic as our only centre backs.
Sandro (who also did rather well as a stand in centre back) also looks to be leaving which is sad. He is a quality player. Would much prefer to see him, capoue, dembele and paulinho be available for the 2 deep lying midfield spots.
The express is running a rumour that vlaar is a target in exchange for holtby and Dawson. I reeeeaaaaally hope that is nonsense

I was surprised there weren't more rumours of Vlaar after the world cup to be honest.
40,000 is a pretty good price for a 15 year old. Always nice to see one of our young players going to the PL or Championship. Hope he is a big hit and get's games for Southampton in the future, means we get more money then.
More rumours of arda turan to Utd - not sure he is the type of player required really (isnt he more an AM than anything else, although Ive seen him as a wide player aswell)
