Yeah I saw that, looks a promising player. Would conflict with reports of Luke Shaw though... or perhaps not, as we might get rid of Buttner and Evra.

Well yeah - and southampton obviously being quite adamant they havent agreed to anything yet (which isnt that surprising at this point)

Always thought Utd were long shots for Luke Shaw considering his attraction to Chelsea but who knows

Thing is, if we do get van gaal, then we won't be able to sign the players until after the world cup because he won't have time beforehand to prepare targets scouting and get the deals done?

He doesn't need to sign the players himself, the club can sort that out if he gives them names. I'm sure he already has a few players in mind.

It shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Maybe some deals are already done, dusted and just waiting to be announced

1) I would be worried about deals that wrere actually agreed under Moyes ( as they are unlikely to be actually signed). Depending on the charachter of the player a firebrand of a manager may turn a young player away from Utd

2) Even if Utd have told players on the qt Moyes was on the way out Utd dont sound certain who is going to take over...big gamble for even an experienced player already in this country let alone one playing abroad currently

( hope you are right, but I really wouldnt bet on it)

And he's been injured for a fair bit of it.

Since Jan I believe - different kind of injury (cruciate I believe) but nearly as major as Gundogen another palyer Utd were linked to for ages. Too big a risk for the kind of money involved as both are unlikely to play before next season

Don't understand all this Hummels, Kroos, Reus talk. I don't think any team in the league has enough pulling power for these players unfortunately.
