However as we both pointed out - its not necessarily EXTRA shirts sold (which is what the site are saying in not so many words), for all we know currently Ronaldo and all the others may sell just as many fewer shirts , so RM havent actually generated any extra cash from this particular signing

Give or take its also 150, 000 units a day or 6500 an hour every hour for the week. Even for RM I doubt thats likely

Thinking about it RM would have to shift less than a million units to make 20 million on shirt sales, I reckon they get about 35-40 per shirt. It's easily doable across the whole globe, particularly in South America.

It's probably a load of bobbins though as unless they did a press release to state the Rodriguez shirts are selling like hot cakes then how would anyone know...

/edit- independent reporting they sold 345k shirts for £20m of revenue. Very different and seems more realistic. Still insane figures.

I would love him at Anfield :)

I would and I wouldn't, I think he has the potential to really become a class player and if Rodgers can help him it would make it easier that being said I'm not sure I could put up with his antics and his at times pure laziness when he is having an off day

Carvalho to Arsenal re-emerging again. Would put the icing on the cake if he's as good as rumoured.

Is he any good? Lol

He's got all the attributes to be a quality player. But by no means the finished product yet. The money being touted for him is a little on the high side. It would be somewhat of a gamble to sign him at that price but he could turn out to be a quality player.

He looks very good at reading the game, a very defensive player but just what Arsenal need really. If we could get him for 20m or something, he would be great. He looked solid at the WC. And only really young as well. He'll be class i think..

Wenger and his backing quartet singing about how he's mostly been taking happy pills and crack this season...

The song went a bit like this:
"Thomas Vermaelen may leave Arsenal"

We offered £25m they rejected, they want closer to £35m which is his release clause. If he's what we need we should push towards £30m

From what I read it was as much your payment schedule as the amount that they refused.

Since then they have reportedly lowered his value although thats probably media **** lol

Would love him at Utd (if for no other reason than to get something back from the 2 dozen or so scouting trips last season lol)

Also dont see why Utd couldnt accomodate Herrera, Vidal (wishful thinking I know) and Carvalho and possibly even another (more budget) CM/DM

We should offer 28 then or something, whats 4/5mil in the grand scheme of things, especially for a 22 year old. Problem with spending that much though is, he'll automatically have an expectation from the fans, no doubt they'll be wanting fireworks straight away.

At least we should have a final answer tomorrow.

Unless... it resumes after the tour and drags out over the 4-6 weeks after. Ugh.
