Hazard didn't seem happy after last nights defeat. Could he potentially leave?

Wasn't he responsible for two of their goals by not tracking his man? it's easy to blame Mourinho's tactics but Chelsea looked the better team until Atletico's equaliser, then they gave away a silly penalty and had no option but to throw caution to the wind at which point Atletico duly ripped them apart.

If i was Hazard, I'd not be pleased at Chelsea, it completely alienates his play style.

But I can't help but think Maureen is literally setting up the best he can with the squad he has. If he had opened up the play, they'd have been slaughtered anyways because they are toothless up top and had a dire centre midfield last night.

Next year they'll have probably two actual quality strikers which will open up the play.

Matic and a couple of more additions that will be of the qualities he's looking for.

Yeah his Real Madrid played team played some beautiful free flowing football. oh wait...

Always makes sense to both parties but rarely happens.

I'm not sure it ever happens in the literal sense. Every time a player is bought or sold it needs to be for a value for accounting purposes.

We occasionally are told something is a swap deal but I'm sure that they're always independent deals even if the reality is a swap/part-ex has happened.

Didn't realise he had given an interview, thought this was based on how he looked after they lost?

Got a link to it? Sounds exciting :D

Put your willy away, as usual the media and Twitter ***** got things wrong, nothing wrong with what he said -

Hazard said:
"I don't know what we lacked tonight. After we scored we had the game in our hands. But maybe they wanted it a little bit more than us. It was an intense game and a nice one to watch. I'm sad tonight but the logic is respected because they deserved to qualify. Chelsea is not made to play "foot". We are good in playing on the counter attack, a bit like Real against Bayern. And we did well so this evening because we scored, but the penalty after half-time hurt us badly. In the second half we couldn't make the difference. It was a complicated match but this will serve as a lesson for next season"

Which is what I'm saying. Are you arguing with me Barry or agreeing?

Surely there would have to be completely seperate (legal) paperwork for both players

Everything from wages, length of contract, insurance, bonuses, media rights etc etc might initially be seen just between the " buying" club and the player, but I would still expect that to be legally linked to the contract betwen the clubs ( initial payment, add ons, sell on fee etc etc)

Cant imagine all of these are ever identical in one particular swap.

A month or so old now but amused me slightly :

Saints Warn The Premier League They May Be Unable To Field A Side Next Season

Saints have allegedly contacted the Premier League to warn them that they may not be able to put out a side for the beginning of the 2014/15 season.

Sources close to St Mary's have revealed that the Club may have already spoken to the Premier League and issued a warning that they may not be able to field a side for the start of the 2014/15 season.

At the moment they are able to fulfill their obligations to the League for this season, but there are severe doubts whether they will still be able to do the same for next season, after secret documents published in the media were disclosed

Those media sources have already reported that many members of the Saints squad have allegedly already agreed deals with top Premier Clubs in some cases with two even three clubs and this will impact on Saints ability to get out 11 players.

So far its been confirmed that Luke Shaw will be signing for both Manchester City and Chelsea and may also find time to turn out for Manchester United.

Adam Lallana has agreed a deal with Manchester United as well as Liverpool and Spurs, Callum Chambers will be leaving St Mary's to play for Spurs and Arsenal, Jay Rodriguez has already signed for Arsenal and expects to sign a similar deal for Liverpool in the coming weeks.

Morgan Schneiderlin will follow on his signing for Arsenal every summer for the past four years by again succumbing to Arsene Wenger's offer this year, whilst Victor Wanyama has not only signed for Manchester City but Liverpool and Newcastle as well.

Sam Gallagher is so far resisting most offers but it was confirmed in this morning's press he has agreed to sign for Chelsea to join Dejan Lovren on the days he isnt playing for Spurs

On a brighter note though Rickie Lambert is likely to return to just playing for Saints after leaving for Upton Park in the January window.

All in all though it will mean that Saints will struggle to field a side for next season if the press sign any more of our squad for the big 5 before August.

However its not all doom and gloom, on one hand the club will have plenty of money to invest in the 2014/15 increased ISA allowance and will also be able to upgrade the public address system that will be vital if we are to make up the numbers from appeals to the crowd next term.

Saints new Chairman Ralph Krueger if he had been asked would probably not have commented.

" It has been a tough first week for me in my new job, I arrived to find most of our squad have already signed for other clubs for next season, I appeal for our supporters not to panic and stay calm, in the meantime if any of them have any wheelbarrows we could use to take the cash up the bank then we as a club will be grateful"

Harking back to his recent comments on returning to the traditions of the club he said

" I believe back in the second world war that it was not uncommon for the club to have to appeal to the crowd for players to make up the numbers, it pleases me to announce that we will return to that tradition with effect from next season and urge all supporters to get to the ground early and bring their boots"

"I wish all the players leaving for Arsenal/Spurs/Liverpool/Man City/Man Utd (*delete as appropriate) the best and if anyone has got change of a £40 million pound note it would be helpful"

On a brighter note the club is to appear on the Antiques Roadshow on Sunday where Fiona Bruce will give a valuation on a set of spoons recently found at St Mary's which are believed to date back to 2009.
