You may have missed it when Fabregas would return to the EPL and it would be for a London team only, and that was over two summers
As much as we may have wanted him to come, he never wanted to join so Fabregas to Utd was always going to be dead as a dodo
Were Chelsea interested in Ronaldo when United signed him? Only Newcastle expressed real interest for Rooney, did the other top sides in the EPL go after Rio, Vidic?
How about Sturridge and Suarez, don't remember too much interest in them and all except a couple of us laughed at Sturridge going to liverpool. I really don't think it's about just going after the big names that City and Chelsea might ne interested in. The best United teams have been built on players they probably wouldn't have been battling rivals for.
In my opinion it's better to buy a player like rojo for that money and try to take him to the next level.

Just read that Fellaini has been injured in training - and is now wearing a protective boot , so cant see Utd getting rid of him any time soon
Probably a pact with Cleverley to make sure they are not sold. Expect news of a knee injury to Cleverley soon.
On the other hand, we are now down to the superb options of Herrera, Cleverley and Fletcher in CM. If we don't buy now I am going to lose all hope.

I groaned when I saw they decided to replace Alan Hansen with Rio Ferdinand.
He was awful during the word cup and doesnt have the brash eloquence of Alan
All I expect from Rio is "Yea he got the tackle in and stopped a goal, you know"
Lots of 'you knows' and 'at the end of the day'
Anyway United need another CB and and CM if we are to get top four, I could see us getting one but not both before the 1st.

I mean, he says United will win "because they've got a good manager". Just stop and think about that for a second... That's the kind of crystal-ball-esque forsight that no mere mortal could possibly hope to attain.
