I will die if we sign Balotelli.

not because I hate him, but he is definitely a talent, and one that BR could very well get the best out of.

Balotelli's refusal to talk to the S*n and ability to **** off Utd supporters have already made him a cult hero among Liverpool supporters before he's even signed.
Quite, it's breaking on SSN now that they're actually in talks.

Milan's official tv channel have confirmed talks are taking place and the TV network owned by Berlusconi are reporting that a deal is very close. Not sure what to think :/

I actually think Rodgers wasn't playing games when he ruled Balotelli out. I think this just show that Rodgers doesn't have total control on transfers and we've missed out on other, more suitable, targets.
Rojo may have cost £16m as a headline figure, but the real cost is ~£21m because Manyoo are giving them Nani for a year, and are also paying his wages for that time (£4.8m, apparently, http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28873767).
I told you that 2 days ago!

Newcastle are being linked with Andre Ayew again. This time it seems he is surplus to requirements at Marseille and has been offered to us for around £5m. Given how close Obertan is to the first team I wouldn't mind us signing another winger.

And Arsenal have apparently offered £8m for Tiote. No.

Has it been confirmed that we are paying all of Nanis wages while he is there?

The BBC are reporting it, which is about as 'confirmed' as it gets.

Its a bit sad that we have to offer a player like Nani on loan for free for a year to tie up a deal for a half decent signing these days. I expect this will be the squad that we will have till January now with the hope we can get Strootman then.

If all our players are fit for the whole season and play well we might scrape top 4 but lets be honest, we have plenty of injuries already and that won't stop.

I like Mario. He is a bit of a nutter but the good kind. None of this biting malarkey.

The waste of space that Nani is.....ok £5m in wages isnt a snip but remember it wasnt a straight forward deal to start with (regarding third pary ownership)

Mario is likely to provide as much bad press for Anfield as a certain new barca signing did previously

Talk about speed...

Balotelli is close to joining Liverpool. The two clubs reached an agreement in principle, the negotiation speeded up during the night. He should leave on a permanent deal. The fee? Around €20M, without bonuses. In the afternoon, his agent Raiola will be in Liverpool to negotiate the terms of the contract. Today could be Balotelli’s final day in Milanello, Liverpool await him.

Although Nani hasn't really played for the past couple of years and they've still been paying his wages, so they're not really missing that £5m.

Surely nobody is as bad as Obertan? I'd be happy with Ayew for £5m, hopefully that would then push Sissoko into his better central role.

Still not what we need (CB and striker).
