We should take both of them for £70m but we won't get either.
The side that we should have vs the side that we do have is depressing.
We could have potentially had Vidal, Benatia / Hummels, Di Maria and we won't have any of them come the deadline. I doubt we will panic buy though which is a small victory I guess.

Moyes was the issue with the team that he had, Woodward is the issue with our transfers. I don't expect us to get top 4 with our current squad but I don't expect us to be 7th at the end of the season.
Something is seriously wrong...
Bad squad, filled with underachieving, overpaid players. 2 CBs just left taking their experience with them. By far the best midfielder at the club is a recent signing, who's really not got a physical side. Fletcher and Carrick are well past use by date. Out wide, the problems are worse. Mata was bought with no real plan of how to use him. There are no decent full backs at the club bar Shaw. A teenage left back who has just been bought for far too much money in what looks like a prove a point stunt.
LvG has arrived late to the party and is realising how difficult it is to attract top players to northern industrial towns. Especially with no CL. Manchester is not Barcelona, Munich, or even Amsterdam. City did it with enormous wads of cash.
The only way out of this is to buy lots of modest young players and coach them into a winning team. It'll take years. Buying 4 or 5 top quality players is not only very unlikely, but also unlikely to work. There's nothing but deadwood to bolt them onto.
That's before we even get to the Glazers...

Would love to see it, but can't see it happening what with Liverpool having "already agreed" a fee and us already having Ade, Soldado and Kane.
Will of course love seeing him back in the premier league.

he's responsible for a lot last year (namely putting us out of the top 4). this summer it's all on woody.
I don't think he could negotiate his way out of a cardboard box.
That was total BS, just a jibe at Spurs as they always seem to go down the root of hijacking our bids.

Yup, for me he is one of those players...its the reason why tennis was so more interesting with John McEnroe playing, snooker so much more interesting with Alex Higgins or Ronnie O'Sullivan playing and so on. The "wild" ones often make a sport all the more interesting, so I'm excited to see him back.

This would be amazing if true... Won't do anything to lessen the financial burden of Torres, but having him out of the squad and replaced by a quality striker would be just brilliant. With Destro in place of Torres we would have good quality backup all the way through the squad
Because he is crap.
