He used to be, but he's a bit more box to box now. Would be fine with Herrera as they're both able to sit deep. Massive upgrade on what we have.

What are the chances of a Di Maria/Khedira double deal though? Highly unlikely (at best).
 
whether Khedira's a defensive midfielder or not, he would still give us depth in CM which at the moment, wouldn't go amiss. But, i doubt we'll go for either never-mind get either of them so not hoping
 
Well footballers are fickle people, depends how much they buy into what's being sold, but if you have people who are there already in the hunt for their signature it becomes even harder.
 
Not sure if Mario's good enough to take us to the next level but if we can get him for £16 million then offload Borini for £14 million it'll be an amazing piece of business.
 
We don't need to have a title winning team right now, we simply need one that can get top 4. Signing Di Maria and Khediera would probably be enough to make that happen. We can then worry about what we do next at the end of the season when we have CL football again. I would much prefer Vidal to either of them but that doesn't seem at all likely anymore.

IF this comes off, that Borini is sold for ~14'000'000£ and Balo comes in for 16'000'000£ it's a pretty amazing piece of business in my opinion. Balo might come with questions over his temperament and attitude, but I firmly believe that he's young enough to have that trained out of him, and just hope he matures as a person, his ability and potential on the pitch aren't in question. Motivated he's a brilliant forward.

Considering the cost of players at the moment that is a cracking price. He is going to cost a fair wack in wages though I bet. But I would take a punt on him for that.

He has great potential but I doubt he will change his personality over night.
 
if Khedira is going anywhere it will be to Bayern I expect. Would be good to get a double swoop though.
 
Apparently Liverpool are sniffing around insigne(?) from Napoli - 15 mill + Agger + Lucas on season long loan (same dude on twitter that broke Mario to us start of week).

Also said podolski will be off - Galatasary, Schalke, Valencia and Monaco looking at him.

Never seen him play but can't see us giving money and two players that's something utd would do :p
