I maintain the main thing Liverpool will lose from missing Suarez is his workrate without the ball. At the moment the team can cope without that as they all work hard, but introduce Balotelli and you've got a team member who won't put that effort in off the ball and if he's to be the furthest forward then you've got a back four with no pressure on them, something they did especially well last season.

I read something today about torrres insisting on a £16m payoff before he leaves....
Yeah... Daily Mail reporting that (his wages for the 2yrs of his contract). Realistically something like that has to happen, since nobody will match his wages.
Doubt we'll end up paying the full amount, but a proportion is probably likely.

I didn't say he was the best striker in the world, I said he's a complete striker. He has a bit of everything about him.
Remember Evra's first game for Utd? Vidic's too for that matter (same game)
He's pretty crap in the air so I'd say he's far from complete.
Complete is the wrong word to describe him really. He is undoubtedly a good striker though.
I thought he was good apart from making one mistake.
That's fine for us, as long as we don't neglect central midfield... I'm sure we won't.
This is the internet, you must give an extreme opinion based on watching 30 seconds of a player.

I thought he had quite a poor game. Obviously can't comment on whether he's a good player or not as that's the first time I've seen him.
I thought Markovic looked promising when he came on though. Very direct and willing to take players on.
