Yeah I agree, he was (is, when used correctly) a fantastic player to watch. Klopp said that he was the best CAM in the world, and I honestly don't think that's an insane claim.

I'm happy for him, I'm surprised he didn't demand a move at the end of his first or second seasons. His career has taken a serious set back but hopefully he can get back on track.

I really enjoy watching Dortmund and the side that Kagawa was apart of prior to his move. It is a real shame his move was not as fruitful as everything would have indicated; young, technical, intelligent footballer. He had all the markings of becoming the link between midfield and attacking transitions.

Shame. I really hope he can recapture some of the form he had prior to his move :).

Managers always say similar things about their players. I agree that it is not an 'insane' claim, he was at the time certainly one of the better players in his position / role.

I would have loved to have seen him come to Everton, I think he would have done really well for us and him. I can understand why he's gone back to Germany though. 3 managers have not rated him.

The writing was on the wall for Kagawa when LvG came out with that "four number 10s" comment - his preference is clearly to play Mata in that role and I would imagine he may entertain using Rooney there when he isn't available.

Should have skipped over the Asian market and bought a german straight up.

notice when a nation is successful we don't tend to have that nationality player in our team (players who start for that nation). For example how many players from world cup winning squads were in our team at the time? For instance we've had no spanuards for ages then after the glory dies down we buy 3 spanuards who don't make the national team lol.

now Germany is successful but how many Germans in our team? None.

It's like chase the ace but we let the players fade first or buy ones not in the main first team. Di Maria being a slight exception maybe.

Should have skipped kagawa and bought reuss

I'd question what extent he helped the club in the Asian market - how many shirts would be sold there anyway? How many marketing deals would have been signed anyway? It's the same argument when any player's signed... kids are going to get a Suarez shirt now he plays for Barca... but if it hadn't been him a lot of the time they'd've just bought a shirt with a different player's name instead.

Obviously he could have been used better, but he wasn't. Any signing who doesn't play enough/isn't used appropriately, then is sold for a loss is a bad signing, basically. It's a mistake to invest £18m + wages in a player who is misused/not utilised effectively/etc.

He's helped LOADS. sponsorship massive from jpn. Fact.

He was an economic success like I predicted at the time but a bad purchase if we wanted to win things on the pitch. Should have ponied up for hazard

You must have an enviable collection of tin foil hats

Di Marzio tweets that Milan have reached an agreement with both Torres and Chelsea.

Apparently Italian TV also reporting that agreement has been reached and Torres is having his medical!

Noooooo! That was the one bit of transfer business that Chelsea had failed in up to now. Its not fair. You can't bring in Fabregas and Costa on the cheap AND sell Torres.

If he does go (fingers crossed) I'm not sure who we can get in at this late a date who would actually be a decent addition.

A 2 year loan deal, so at worst I hope they're paying his wages in full -

CFC said:
Chelsea Football Club and AC Milan have agreed terms for the two-year loan deal of Fernando Torres to the Italian club.

The move is now subject to Fernando agreeing personal terms with AC Milan and passing a medical examination.

Seeing as the Bamford loan to 'Boro has gone through we must have someone lined up.

No chance. You'll be lucky if you get half his wages.

Whatever it costs is fine as we're doing great for money so it won't hurt & I don't think anyone was ever going to be stupid enough to take him off our hands and actually give us anything.
The main thing is that we can now try filling his place with someone who can run 5 yards without falling over the ball.
