He'll do fine there, with all the creativity around him all he will need to do is finish from five yards that Torres and Eto'o struggled with.

Agger is going back to Denmark.

Mixed feelings on this. He was always a favourite of mine but the amount of injuries he's had over the years have really caught up with him over the last 12 months.

There was some talk about him moving to Brondby earlier in the window but I dismissed it at the time as he's still good enough to play at a decent level and I thought money would be an issue for Brondby. It seems like he's desperate to go home though which may have made it financially possible for them.

I still don't understand why they never gave Lukaku a chance, looking at how he did for West Brom and Everton he would have probably banged goals in for fun at Chelsea with the service he would've got and even if he's not the finished article he's still only young, a season alongside Costa & Drogba could have taken him to another level.

Fear not! Chelsea can always buy him back for a hideous amount of money in a couple of years :).

You do see whats wrong with that statement right...

I think the problem is not that a club is unwilling to pay a transfer fee for him, I think that would absolutely be possible. I think the problem would be his wages, a club will not match, certainly not improve, on them and he has not set the world a light while at Chelsea.

Weren't there a £20 million bid by City for Agger last season?

Seems like a huge drop in value, he's always seemed to have niggling injuries throughout from what I remember.

2 seasons ago. I was shot to bits by my fellow Liverpool fans for suggesting it might be a good idea to cash in on him. Given the injuries he's had he was never going to age well.

I do think the £3m that's being touted about now is partially down to him going to Brondby. As I said, he's still capable of playing at a better level if he wanted to and had it been another club I don't think the fee would have been so low.

It was more the suggestion that the money you get from Torres would allow you to go and buy a replacement striker. Ignoring his wages, the pittance that you would get for him is not going to allow Chelsea to buy a decent replacement. Pretty sure they have the money already if they need it and the tiny amount Torres would raise is unlikely to be vital for any deal.
