Whether its injury or suspension its still pretty relevant that they missed it (3 games for Hendo at the perfect time). Its [poopoo we haven't had injuries and had to deal with them, particularly at awful times. (Christmas, end of the season Studge not in good form at all and Henderson one of our most important players).

Anyways I'll guess we shall see next year when we get relegated due to having Europe :D

You'll be lucky if thats all that happens to you!

Nah, I think Liverpool will be fine next season but I think United will be fine as well.

So do you think it's Arsenal who are going to miss out on the top 4 trophy then?

Out of the current set of top teams I would say that they are the most likely along with Liverpool. By "Liverpool will be fine" I mean that they won't be out of the race for top 4.

So you think that next season you're going to be good enough to overhaul either Arsenal or Liverpool after being miles behind them (15 & 20 points) this season just by having a new magical manager (who has no PL experience) and spending loads of money on players who have no PL experience.
I doubt it's ever happened before and I doubt it'll happen next season.

It's very difficult to predict what will happen. Who predicted Liverpool would be one game from winning the title at the start of the season - pretty much nobody.

I think 3rd and 4th place will be between Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal.

We'll need a few new signings and have to hope they hit the ground running, and I've every faith in Van Gaal that he can deliver on the managerial side of things - really looking forward to having him in charge.

Liverpool managed quite a point swing on us this season. Everything is up in the air for next season but it's certainly not unfeasible for United to be up in the top 4 again next season. I doubt we'll do as badly as this season but if Liverpool/Arsenal strengthen then we might struggle to get in.

It'll be interesting for Liverpool next season, they could either allow the way this season ended to 'break' them or they might be hungrier than ever next year.

This thread seems to have gone right off track into a will Liverpool be good again next season/will man utd still be garbage debate. I think it 'a been two pages since someone linked a saints player with a move!

It seems that the German press are still pushing the Emre Can to Liverpool stories despite it not being reported at all over here. Kicker, who initially reported the link, have followed Bild in reporting that the deal is close. Supposedly anyway, this has all come via twitter. I don't read German Newspapers.

I can't say I've watched a huge amount of German football lately but I know he was a huge prospect a couple of years back. We've done well polishing rough diamonds lately so if this comes off I hope to see more of the same.

Guardian stating he'd likely get more games in central midfield at Arsenal or Pool? Over who at either team? Sounds like crap to me.

Milner would be a great signing for both teams. Can play anywhere across the middle, wing, full back. Proper useful. Get him signed Wenger!!

Over Allen at Liverpool. Arsenal, he'd add some steel.

I'd take him in a heartbeat, think he's a very underrated player.

I think he's a great player don't get me wrong but I couldn't imagine him starting at either team.

It wouldn't be a case of playing ahead of anybody. Like I've mentioned on here already, we need a squad not just 11 players. Milner would be a very good player to have in a squad as he can play in a number of positions and would be natural cover for Henderson.

I'd be shocked if City let go one of their very few decent home grown players with the restrictions on their CL squad though.
