He's a more than good enough player and considering the players you lack at Utd he's a big step up, I just get the impression you'll be overpaying in terms of wages. I don't think I've seen a hint at his price, while only having a year left drives prices down, you still get 20+ mil deals. I don't know if they are talking about a 5-10mil cut price deal or more like 20-25mil. Eating bigger wages short-ish term if you get a cut price deal would be less bad.

Just seems a bit mental for the club to end up with Mata, Kagawa and Kroos who all prefer the same position and Rooney who isn't very good there but seems to refuse to play anywhere else. He could really end up playing anywhere, it depends who else Utd buy. If they don't get a good central mid pair he might well end up there, if they do buy central mids I can see him taking one of the wide roles and trying to like Robben, wide but coming inside a lot.

£20+ mil and 150+k wages and I think it's a bit silly, £10-15mil and 100-130k, not too bad.

Pretty sure under no circumstances is Kroos going to be happy with being paid less than Fellaini (125k/week) and Mata around the same or more I imagine. I suspect that BM are going to use the same logic for the transfer fee - if Utd can cough up 27.5million for Fellaini, 37 million for Mata then I'd be astonished if the fee to was less than 30 million with wages around the 150k mark.

Realistically that's just going to be the price for Utd to prise away a proven player from a top side, paying 10-15 million and 100k wages you are either looking at players from mid-table teams and hoping they can step up or that there are other factors such as last year of contract/unhappiness which can press the price down - with the expectations and rubbish season they had Utd aren't really in a position to be gambling on the former and off-hand I can't think of anyone that would meet the latter criteria.

Yaya Toure has fuelled talk of a possible departure from Manchester City by saying he does not know who he will be playing for next season.

The midfielder's agent, Dimitri Seluk, indicated he could leave because he felt he had been treated with a lack of respect by the club's owners.

Now Toure, 31, has said "everything is open" when it comes to his future.

Asked if he could be playing for another club, he replied: "Yes. We never know in football. We never know."

In an interview with global broadcaster beIN SPORTS, the Ivory Coast star added: "Because of the brilliant season Man City have had, everybody is talking about me and everything is open.

"My agent, Dimitri, is always on the phone and he knows what he has to do because I trust him a lot.

"We don't know tomorrow, but my focus is on the World Cup and at the end of the World Cup we will see what happens."

Toure signed a new four-year contract with City in April last year.

What an absolute ****. He's 31 as if he didn't need reminding, he's hardly going to get a 40m move and City wages anywhere else. No doubt when he's hated it will be lost in translation and he won't understand it.

Id take kroos and not worry about kagawa because he can be sold off. If you don't play often and contribute almost zero when you do play then sadly the only way has to be out if the door. He's a tidy player but that's about it.

I don't like the idea of manzukic though.

I wouldn't like to see Kagawa go. I actually quite like him and think he's a decent player, plus he provides a left sided option along with Januszajrigroisrgoghadugiiiii (I assume Rooney will not be returning to LM ever again).

Kroos would be a great marque singing for United and LVG.

Where would he play though? Isn't he in a similar position/play style as Mata?

Also means United might back off Cesc and he can come home!

Pretty sure kagawa had 0 goals and possibly zero assists ( tbc ) in 18 league starts. Now I'm not being funny but as someone who can only attack that's a terrible return . What we needed was someone with a return like Oscar or Hazard.

It's that complacency which is why we get beaten because we simply have worse and less effective players all over the pitch. It's a pertty simple formula.

The whole thing is just BS. This is from his agent

"He got a cake but when it was Roberto Carlos's birthday, the president of Anzhi gave him a Bugatti," Seluk added.
"I don't expect City to present Yaya with a Bugatti, we only asked that they shook his hand and said 'we congratulate you'. It is the minimum they must do when it is his birthday and the squad is all together.

"I hear one newspaper has written that City congratulated him from Twitter but this is a joke. It is better they don't put anything on Twitter if they are not saying anything to him.
"The club's owners ate a 100kg cake after winning the Premier League this season but when they and the players were all together, none of them shook his hand on his birthday. It shows they don't care about him.
"Of course Yaya is upset about this. If this happened to you as a journalist in the BBC and nobody shakes your hand, you will say bye-bye and go to work for somebody else. It is normal."

What the flying **** ??

Who here decides they need to leave their place of work when their boss doesn't shake their hand on their birthday. Such a blatent attempt to fabricate a reason to invite loads of offers for him after the world cup.

LOL the whole Yaya thing seems like a complete joke, poor lamb has his ikkle feelings hurt because the City owners didnt shake his hand or wish him a happy bday??...wow first world problems y0:p.

Why would Barca even be interested in taking him back? They should email Barca, tell them his wages and ask if they are interested. Then post Barca's response on his locker. He goes on about finishing his career there, if they wanted him he would be there.

I didn't get a bugatti on my birthday either :(

Fabregas left out of the new Barca kit launch. Obviously means he is coming to United.
