Yaya to United? :p

Just to have him pull the same crap next summer, no doubt. :D

[Edit] Just to add that this window is extra exciting for United fans because well, I think most of them will agree that the midfield has needed anything from "some work" to a "complete overhaul" for a good... five years? I'd say Roy Keane was never really replaced, that was when it started.

Just a shame that it's taken all this time to get a world class signing (or more) in there. Credit to SAF for doing what he did with what he had tbh.

If Giggsy really did veto Thiago, imagine what he would say about Robben lol (not ***** likely lol)

He may be a decent player but he is a complete ****

Sport (as above) are quoting the Daily Mail as their source, so...

The Bayern president has given an interview to Kicker in Germany, saying Pep wants Kroos to stay, but Bayern won't improve their offer. Certainly appears as if he's available for the right price, but surely £20m is too low, it'd be closer to £30m.

He will be free next summer I think so it could be £20m now or nothing next summer.

To be fair, its only looks like a steal from the fee and the low fee means he's demanding high wages - £250k a week, £13m a year, which over a 5 year deal turns this into an £85m transfer. Which looks like crazy money, but all depends on how he performs.

I don't think e's demanding anywhere near that from what I've read, looks like he wants to be nearer the top earners at Bayern but that are unlikely to improve their offer so he's looking to move on.

Yeah, but we need him now and Bayern will likely be prepared to keep him for another year.

They won't risk that.

Kroos hasn't looked as useful in Guardiolas system either so I don't know how desperate he will be to keep him. If they were that bothered, they would give him the salary he wanted.

I would still be stunned if:

a) we get him
b) we get him for 20m

Suppose stranger things have happened though.

Pedro to Liverpool?

Thought Rodgers would have been looking at the defense first lol.

United keep getting linked to Cavani for £50m odd as well which is the one area we have plenty as well. Papers digging up rumours from years back as if the sides haven't changed since they were originally interested in a player.

Think BR has came out and said he wants a defender, CM and 3 attacking options to come in - he also said done deals before the WC but well, we all know how darn slow we are at doing transfers.

Cant be any ****ing slower than Wenger and Arsenal, no doubt we will wait till the last day like we have for the past few yrs to sign anyone. Although a couple of times we have managed to sign a player well before the end of the transfer window ie Podolski and Sanogo are 2 that come to mind.

Even Wenger has gone on record to say that there wont be any action until after the WC, which is bloody brilliant because the players prices will probably go through the roof lol.

Meh Wenger and Arsenal will never learn from past mistakes i guess, part and parcel of being an Arsenal fan lol. Would be nice if we signed 3-4 players that we need before the end of the transfer window for once.

James Ducker at The Times is backing up The Guardian on Kroos now too, so it appears Van Gaal doesn't want him, as he's not on Van Gaal's 'list'.

I'd like to see this list. I hope it has Fabregas on. :p

Another summer wasted pursuing Fabregas? Sounds good to me ;)

Newcastle look set to make our first permanent signing in 18 months: Ayoze Perez - some young striker from the Spanish second tier. Although according to the Guardian he'll be going into the U21s for a while rather than straight into the first team. Exciting times here on Tyneside.
