You have to weigh up the fact that Man Utd are rebuilding a squad, we are far more likely to attract talent if we have Wayne Rooney than if we didn't.

One things for sure, I'm getting Paul Stretford in to negotiate my next contract!

Reports we have scouted William Carvalho for a 12th time this season. F M L 12th time !!!!!!!! Unless we know his intimate toilet habbits, first name terms with his bird, his ex bird and his Mum then where is this going

It looks like Rooney's pulled Utd's pants down. Reports today that he's about to sign a 5 and a half year deal for £300k per week. Can you imagine a 33 year old Rooney?

He'd still be a good and intelligent player, could see him playing CM at that age as long as he still has his the legs and looks after himself. Hopefully he lays off the pies.

Forget that, Suarez wants Champions League, he's not going to go to United even if you stump up £100m.

I think Man Utd need to spend money in other areas.
We don't need strikers - finishing is not the problem. Getting the ball to our strikers is the problem and also leaking goals.

Personally, I think we need a manager who has a better plan/strategy. Buying players will merely paper over the cracks.

The strange thing is that Moyes is pretty good in Europe. I can't work this out. He struggles against Sunderland, Stoke, Fulham, etc and then Europe, he does pretty well. And the European games require great tactics, which he clearly gets right.

United ramp up Mangala chase: Manchester United are set to step up their bid to sign France and Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala, reports the Daily Star. United boss David Moyes watched the centre-back in action for a third time on Sunday during Porto's 2-1 win at Gil Vicente, with a view to taking him to Old Trafford to replace Nemanja Vidic, who is leaving United at the end of the season, possibly for Inter Milan. United face competition for the 23-year-old, who has a £35m buy-out clause, from Chelsea and Manchester City.

Given the huge increase in the EPL TV deal as of this season, Rooney has actually got cheaper for Utd in regards to the proportion of club income compared to his wages :D

Cesare Prandelli being touted for the Spurs job now at the end of the season.

I really would like to know already which way this is going to go. Frank de Boer, Luis van Gaal, Prandelli, who next?

Personally I think I'd rather see van Gaal brought in if possible. I like Sherwood and it would be fantastic to see him take us into the CL, but does he really have the experience to take us where we want to go? Does he have what it takes?

Does he have what it takes?

The question is, does anyone have what it takes to be a long term manager these days. Might as well put the job up as a part time vacancy.

Looks like Verm is on his way out.
