Liverpool have realised that they overachieved this season, so are going to bring in a number of mid-table prem players to make sure they are back where they belong, fighting for 4th spot :D

Liverpool have realized that they already had mid table players and turned them into title contenders :D with ease.

Can is extremely highly rated by German football media types.
Moreno is the most sought after young lb in la liga.
Lovren has been a rock for Southampton, don't mind him.
Vorm as back up, as long as the Fee/wages aren't silly he would be excellent back up.
Lallana, for the 20 we've apparently bid, all good. For the rumoured 30 mill Southampton are holding out for.....**** no. As a 'marque' signing though, regardless of fee he would be underwhelming.

Rotation (rather than specific tactical adjustments to personnel for specific games) only makes sense in meaningful matches if you need to rest a player - as shipinabottle points out this isn't really an issue for keepers.

If games were more spaced out you wouldn't see as much rotation in outfield players, although as I intimated above the team would still be changed from time to time to cope with a specific threat / exploit a weakness from the opposition (which isn't required for keepers of course).

Still want us to buy Richards, but I suppose wages could be an issue.

Gary Pallister saying that Shaw could come to Spurs rather than United because of Pochettino joining Spurs.

Really? If that was the case, if Shaw really wanted to be with Pochettino, wouldn't he have just stayed at Southampton if Pochettino has stayed there? Seriously, some of the **** these people come out with is just ridiculous.

Well we spent £30m on a winger who's only started a handful of games. Granted he's been injured for a large proportion of the campaign but at present I really wouldn't be surprised by anything the club do.

But likewise I doubt it and I doubt we're looking at a left back anyway. Not unless Vertonghen is on his way leaving us no cover for Rose. Although we do also have Zeki Fryers to cover us there...

There's absolutely no way that Shaw is going to Spurs. It just simply wont happen. He's going to United, Chelsea or at a very long shot Liverpool.

The bookies would seem to agree with you (link)

Man U: 8/11
Chelsea: evens
Liverpool: 8/1
Real: 10/1
Man City: 16/1

Chelsea or Man U are the obvious options. With United he would (...probably) be starting the majority of games, and be a key part of the defence from day one at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

With Chelsea he'd be going to the club he supported as a kid, and be a part of (arguably) the best defence in the league, playing for a manager who values defence above all else. Plus he would have immediate Champions league football. On the downside he's unlikely to be first choice for a couple of years - at best he will need to fight with Ivanovic for his place.

Personally I'd say Chelsea is the better bet overall, given his age, but they can't compete with Man U for transfer fee or wages. So we'll see.
