50mill for Luiz is great business, would have liked to see him in ma holding midfield role as I think he could excel in that but you can't turn down 50mill for him!
 
How on earth is that happening, Luiz is absolutely terrible. I lost count how many times Alan Hanson ripped him apart on MOTD last season!
 
He blew so hot and cold, even in midfield. Some games he was awesome, like that win v City, but sometimes he was absolutely dreadful. Bizarre signing for that amount of dollar :/

Well Hansen is a bit of an idiot with his extremities so his opinion doesn't hold a lot of weight
 
I always thought he was a bit of a thug really. Tackles people by basically running into them caveman style. Fine if you have a lenient ref, not so good if you don't.

He's quite decent going forward, but £50m? It seems to have taken less than 12 months for PSG to top the sheer lunacy that was the Fellaini deal.
 
Luiz will be decent on the continent though i reckon, Matic is probably just a bit stronger as a person though, need that in the PL. Although good money, i don't think it's insane money.

Expect transfer fees and wages to continue to grow, the industry is still getting bigger and bigger, people are saying til 2020 it's going to continue to grow. Who knows though..could completely drop off at any point i suppose..

to have conversations with: Kakuta, Chalaboh, Hutchinson, piazon, traore, T.Hazard, Bertrand, Ake, Romeu, Lukaku.

Big question marks: Hazard, Courtois

youngish ones to shine next season: Zouma, Kalas

In: Costa (or other superstar striker), backup GK, a DM (Pogba, Koke, Poulinho:o?) and a left back to replace A.Cole.

Expected starting 11 and subs next season:

I'd expect something like that. It could change quite a bit if we get a new LB and put Dave back in his usual RB position, then Ivanovic would be a 3rd backup full back / CB with Zouma and Kalas.

Chelsea have a big squad and we have a ton of loanees returning. Our assets are huge and FFP wont be an issue for us. It's just who we sell, who we keep for development and who we buy in....

Fernando to City is nearly done according to Di Marzio and papers in Portugal. £12m.

Haven't watched Porto play but on YouTube(:o) he looks a good player and someone we could definitely use.

An athletic CDM that can replace Garcia, hopefully he can work well in a 3 next year with Fernandinho and Toure.
 
Aslco, I can't see Hazard leaving except for silly money (£80mil+).

The only difference from your team I see is Courtois in goal. He's simply too good to let go or leave on loan for another season. We'll have to bite the bullet and either sell Cech this summer or leave him on the bench next season.

If you're talking about the Chelsea ones...McCeachran could easily get into England setup if he plays most of the time in a PL team, he did some CL games for us two seasons ago and was outstanding.

Chalaboh is a really good DM, we also have Bamford the striker who scores ~20 goals a season in the championship / league one so i hope he goes on to do something

Hutchinson is a very good RB but had awful injury issues, i don't know why we keep releasing and re-signing him tbh. He's now 24 and not been able to progress anywhere.

Bertrand also is already an established LB so we need to use him as backup / replacement to a.cole or sell him

Courtois is very mature and logical. He said hes not played a minute for Chelsea so doesn't care for the club, simply been signed then loaned out. Which he's ok with, but he said it can't just continue until he's 27ish when Cech retires.

So some progress with the Cech / courtois dilemma will occur this season.
 
I still cant get over the price that PSG are paying for what is an average player ie Luiz. £50mill to make him the worlds most expensive defender...only PSG could pull off some sheer stupidity like that.

Gotta hand it to Chelsea though, sold an average player for a stupid amount of money lol.

Still cannot believe that it is true though, sheer stupidity and lunacy on PSG's part.

Edit: I still maintain that Luiz has everything to be a top CDM. Think he'll prove a lot of people wrong.

Edit: Holy moly, he's 27? I thought he was only 24 or so! Scratch that, they're paying way over the odds!
