At this stage you would be mad to take Lallana over Eriksen.

Yes I am a Spurs fan, and I love both players, but Eriksen is clearly a different class. I would rather get Lamela fit and playing to his potential than take a risk on Lallana.

All I would like to see us do this summer is sign some bloody decent defenders. Ashley Cole on a free? Yes please.

I would even take Lescott to replace Dawson/Kaboul if he's free and willing.

A different class?? Why ??

Eriksen had a half decent season but he's certainly not a different class to Lallana.

or maybe 4 yrs younger..... like eriksen is. but hey, you'd still take lallana.

Lallana had a better season than Eriksen, but was playing in a team that was effectively made for him.

I'd take Lallana personally, he's up there with Eriksen in terms of football but also puts himself about.

Jonjo Shelvey is only 22, maybe we should buy him back :o:confused: if a player is right and available at a reasonable price, get him.

Is Vorm going to move to be an understudy?
Looks like he's going to be one if he doesn't move! Fabianski moves to Swansea:

Very pleased with this first Monk signing: a capable keeper from a build-from-the-back team with CL experience on a free? Yes please :)

Vorm had a pretty torrid last season, and I doubt there are many Swans fans that would be gutted to see him go. Maybe if he was back working with Brendan he'd regain the level he showed in our first PL season.

Tony Barrett reporting we've bid 16mill for Moreno (suso going on a season long loan part of the deal). He is also reporting Southampton want 27mill for Lallana (bournemouth's cut reason it's that much), but we aren't / haven't budged from our initial 20.

If the highest we will go up to is 25mil and Southampton want 27mil then just pay the two mil. We will make it up with the sale of Assaidi and a few more anyway.

That is unless we can do a double bid for Lallana and Lovren, 39 mil for Lovren and 1 mil for Lallana, Bournemouth would love that.

Everyone has picked up on Moreno now. Looks like it's a goer.

Offer has now been accepted apparently. Supposedly includes Suso, but with a buy back clause.

Shame really, I would've liked to have seen Suso included in the squad next season. Looked really promising last time he got a shot at the first team.

Mehdi Benatia to Man City, according to Gazzetta in Italy.

And I've seen it implied that Van Gaal wants Mangala and we're back in for him, as a result of the above. I know he's highly rated but I've not seen him play.

Oh, and we're in for Koke apparently: http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...lling-to-enforce-60m-clause-to-sign-midfielde

I'd have no problem paying €60m for him.

Im sure AM could be ripped apart if they chose to be - but imo it makes no sense this summer why any player would want to leave that club.

I can appreciate Chelsea might have an edge in persauding them to sell a striker so that the gk can stay on loan another season - but any other team is going to be a really hard sell imo given what AM did this season.

Unless Chelsea really are in for 3 players (and actually get them), which might cause other players to think this season cant be replicated and perhaps therefore edge for an exit, but it could go right the other way and allow AM to say they dont need any more money to get their own targets in an dblock further sales.

Not even considering Koke being reported earlier this month as saying he doesnt want to leave - (but selling of multiple team mates could change his mind I guess)

Yeah. A top left back is a really pressing issue, but Suso is someone I'd have liked to have seen stay.

Twitter's going crazy with talk of Ricky Lambert joining Liverpool. SkyBet have slashed odds on him joining us to 1/3.

It depends on the club in question. Eriksen's good but he's not David Silva good where Liverpool, for example, would accommodate him purely as a creative force. We've already got players equally creative that also put a shift in and defend from the front. Short of signing somebody in the class of David Silva, any signing we make will be expected to work in the same way as Coutinho, Sterling and Suarez do.

Lallana might not be quite as creative, although statistically speaking there's not much between them in terms of productivity, but his style of play fits in perfectly with our system. Eriksen doesn't and he's not good enough to make us change.

Where's the stories come from about the bid being accepted? And I thought Suso was only being offered on loan?

Any player that leaves to Chelsea/Man U will get a big pay rise. That's a pretty good reason to switch jobs.

Not sure what the big deal about Lambert is. We have one of the best young forwards in Europe at the minute and one of the best players in world football up top....you aren't going to improve on that. This seasons bench players have been Moses and Aspas....I'd rather Lambert then the pair of them. As long as we get our other main targets i don't get the issue.

I wouldn't take that if I was Lambert, you are a long time retired, he isn't a spring chicken, I'd be looking for first team football first and foremost.

I really hope lambert isn't true hardly a massive improvement over borini imo, Def better than aspas though. Hope Monroe is true as,everything I've read seems top notch.
