There's some rocked up on a new industrial estate where the A46/A17 meet at Newark, when I drove past there was a newish 3 series parked next to one of the caravans with the private plate spelling GYPSY. Glad to see they have money for the things they do want to pay for, although I wonder if it's taxed, MOTd and insured...

You are literally talking out of your backside tbh. As others have said, they choose their life, it’s not forced on them. But the results of their choice is then forced on other innocent, law abiding folk, and making their lives a misery.

It's a clash if cultures, and they are a victim of their upbringing.
They will not see reason, as they are taught that outsiders are heathens, and therefore think nothing of us. We are there to be extorted, abused, and exploited any way possible.
There is no easy way to solve "the problem". Education might help, and some of the families are settling and allowing kids to go to school, so perhaps it's starting.
It will take many generations if it works though

There are dedicated "traveller" sites already all over the country.

I know a place by me, made one for them a while ago since before, they kept setting up in local parks and school fields and leaving a ton of trash that the council had to pay thousands to clear up when they left.

The Langworthy and Salford locals don't mess around. I learned that very quickly when I lived on Langworthy Road. Police would only turn up in force when I lived there...
