The disc isnt something you can just pick up and use. Takes a lot of practise.
I went back to using the disc again and I did really well with it... As said I think I just need a bit more practice, but it does seem a lot more affective than using an assault rifle.

They didnt fix the custom server issues but posted a workaround.
Raider is a tricky one, lot's of good perks.
- Potential Energy: works well with shield, transfers AOE damage to energy this prolongs your shield in certain situations.
- Survivalist: 20% heal from enemy canisters, good for generator attacking.
- Safety Third: Extra Grenade.
- Looter: Extra Grenade from enemy canisters.
- Ultra Capacitor: Gives you an extra 10 energy, slightly bigger shield.
- Quick Draw: 30% faster weapon switching.
So yea, take your pick.
Survivalist is a must buy for a lot of classes.

I think perks depend on the armour been used.
Yeah reach is only really applicable to the pathfinder class. There are some universally useful ones like survivalist and ultra capacitor 2 which can just go on any class.

whats ur game name?
Is there anything that can be done to increase performance?
I have a system which I think should run this game on high - quad core, 4gb ram, 6870 etc but I have to play on MEDIUM to get a decent fps.
I know its UT3 engine, and I can play the game UT3 fine at maximum settings. I realize thats a old game now but TA doesn't look that much more advanced graphically.
Is there something I'm missing, also I played during the early beta stages and I'm sure I had better performance then and I think I was playing on high mode...and the game looked better then I'm sure.
Any help guys?

What you consider decent fps? What res?
You *should* manage better than medium on that spec.
As SAmSuNG said, what do you consider decent fps?
The game has some optimisation issues with AMD systems, I think. The system in my signature gets 40fps on Ultra, which isn't great.
Precisely what processor do you have? The game is heavily CPU dependant.

I also get 40-50fps on ultra.
Anyone know how to add Steam overlay functionality please?
From what I can gather, it worked in the Beta but since then, it does not work. I installed for the first time today.
I create a shortcut to the hirezlauncher with the game=200 product=10 switch. The launcher opens but then as soon you launch the game from the launcher, Steam does not realise you are in a game which I assume is because you are now running the Tribesascend .exe which you cannot shortcut to because of the stupid launcher.

I created a shortcut on my desktop and added that to steam, worked fine for a long while and allowed the steam overlay. But now any game i add to steam that isnt a steam game gets removed from my list on a restart so i just use a normal shortcut.
