wow i just went through season 1 in 2 days, this is my kind of stuff but now i'm left scouring imdb for the next thing to watch but feeling like i'm not gonna find anything close to this!?

i thought it was ok but i wouldnt want to sit through it a second time
i think the run up was better than the finale could ever be.
i think thats why matthew couldnt see anymore life to it.
farrell is okay but he aint as good as matthew. think christian bale would be good but he wouldnt like to play second fiddle to maybe taking a lesser story than mcconaughey.
I did the same. Thought it was fantastic. Some lovely twists and turns involving the 2 main characters. And the overall story was thoroughly enjoyable.
I actually thought this was a one off. But if they change the main actors for a second story, I doubt very much I'll be watching it.

I watched the first episode - but found it a little slow. Is this normal for most? Everyone says what a great show it is - So I want to continue - is it just me? Or is it a slow to start kind of thing?

surprised this thread is only 5 pages, had a cold last sunday and have watched season 1 since then. What an absolutely superb tv show. Thoroughly enjoyed season 1.
MM and WH are two of my favourite actors as well, they really made season 1.

The only thing I can think of which is vaguely similar is 'The Killing' ... I watched the US remake of the Danish original version.
But don't expect anything like the masterclass actor powerhouse of Woody and Matthew!
It's a decent who dunnit it though.

Just finished season 1 (took me 3 days rather than 2), wow that was brilliant stuff. I think s2 will survive without Harrelson and McConaughey, as good as they were I think the real star was the crime.
