Turkey Grand Prix 2010, Istanbul Park - Race 7/19

Look how far ahead Vettel was on impact.. They should have been moving back to the racing line, MW was almost (not quite) as daft for Holding Vettel to the line, honestly what was MW trying to achieve? for me he was just being as aggressive.

Doesn't matter, it is for Vettel to make it stick, or to slowly "pressure" Webber off his line

Look at LH, he left JB room at all times, he could have benn uber aggressive (but still within the rules), but they'd have also had a coming to..

6 of one, half a dozen of the other...

no way, vettel was only a couple of feet ahead and the corner was far from won.

IMO its a clear lack of respect between Webber and Vettel that caused the crash. Its not the first time Vettel has crashed into webber(Japan a few years ago running 2nd and 3rd, ending in the classic "kids ****** it up for all of us" live on tv from webber) Maybe there is some bad blood still

When we saw the Mclarens race a few laps later, you can see the respect between the drivers.

Its RB's championship to loose.

Horner and Webber are good friends also. Horner gets his orders, just like everybody. If he has been told to push Vettel above Webber then that is what he will do.

What is more interesting is that Whitmarsh jetted straight out. Didn't hang around to celebrate LH's first win of the year. It's not the first time he's gave the impression this year of supporting JB over LH

i enjoyed it and didn't fall asleep this time, red bull collision made me laugh....

vettle really has gone down hill in my books. did think he was a proper genuine guy till the end of last season where he comes off a mardy lil bleeda, knew he wouldn't own up to his mistake

button and hamilton part was entertainment we need to see more of, hamilton put him in his place after that cheeky overtake.

and dunno why but i was really happy for MS he seemed happiest he's been all season, well done to him

**** me fella relax will you...it was a simple question that required a simple yes or no FFS.

Anyhow didnt realise he was british...never heard of the guy till he started working for Red Bull....just assumed that he was German,...sorry my bad eh??
Assumption is the mother of all **** ups. A 5 second Google would have told you that he was British despite his 'German sounding' name. ;)

You didn't just ask a question - you made up a theory based on the answer you thought was correct.

Yep

Why are you in an F1 thread?

Is Horner German??? Jesus H...

Yeah. Unless you know the nationality of everyone big in F1/motorsport then you all can just get out of this thread.:mad::mad:

LOL exactly...some people just take a question a bit too seriously in here...geezus:rolleyes:.

If thats the case then still thats pretty harsh on Webber in all honesty....it was odds on that both of them would finish 1-2 but thanks to the idiot that is Vettel one loses a big chunk of points and the other doesnt finish...allowing McLaren to take max points to lead the constructors table.

Not that im complaining:p...am just relieved that Hammy won his first race this season.

I have never been convinced that Whitmarsh likes Hamilton. After all, it was Whitmarsh who tried to block Hamilton coming into F1 - and would have suceeded if not for Ron.

No really???...wow are you a smart cookie;)...yeh just kill me why dont you as i didnt do a search on google...as i said my bad:o

The way you, rypt and Memphis reacted...its like i just killed your best friend lol.

Apart from the Webber/Vettel crash, I found it a bit processional tbh.

I thought Jenson "ever the opportunist" Button was lucky he didn't suffer the same fate too. Cheeky stuff trying to overtake when under fuel saving orders, but hey ho, glad they both brought it home safely.

Webber is untouchable when it comes to shunts. You can bet if he's involved in a shunt, he'll carry on while the other driver gets the long walk back. Some weird voodoo going on in that cockpit :p

From the BBC

"Just reinterviewed Christian Horner who now feels Webber pushed Vettel onto dirty side and says Webber slow as saving fuel!"

Horner you are a noob

Will Webber be on his way out at the end of the season? Its quite clear Vettels is Red Bulls golden boy.

RedBull definitely prefer Vettel as they feel he is their future. Webber may retire/leave RedBull either at the end of this year or maybe next. Vettel is someone who RedBull desperately want to hang on to, as they feel he is the guy who will win them titles (providing the car is good).

IMO the Vettel-Webber incident was a racing incident. Nothing else. Nobody in particular was to blame. Its racing.

My take on the Webber/Vettel incident is that it was simply a racing incident between two competing drivers. One could argue that Webber was foolish for not leaving or making more space once the other car edged ahead, particularly a team-mate, equally that Vettel should not have moved to the right....at the end of the day both guys were racing and they both paid a price for their unyielding approach. The same could easily have befallen Hamilton and Button! :)

Yep which is what I think all the hugs and kisses were on the pit wall afterwards. They've got to keep him happy else he'll be off to a certain red coloured team.
