Turkish Grand Prix 2011, Istanbul Park - Race 4/19

Mclaren gifted this to lewis over Button. There was no way Jensons tyres would be in shape at the end.
No surprise is it? I dont understand why the team is happy to let them squabble and lose loads of time over competitors down the road and then in the last part of the race enforce team orders...

Good job Webber!

considering hamilon lost a lot of time in the 3rd stop with the wheel nut i was suprised how close he was to button when coming out the pits on his 4th stop.

I don't get it, there absolutely no benefit to be running on much older tyres at the end. It was always going to happen and we have already seen so many times already this year that covering the stops works better than trying to stay out at the front end.

Wheel to wheel in equal circumstances Button beat him today, so they had him run longer, makes no sense at all.

They go for the strategy where if all the variables go their way it will work - it just such a very simplistic view of the race and being able to think on their feet on the Sunday is just so lacking...

Surely Hamilton winning China solely because he had that much fresher set of tyres over Vettel was a clear enough indicator. 3 stops was never an option, look how many opted for it...
button makes his own calls i believe.

easy pass for rosberg.
Im sure you are right, but during the race the option to move from 3 to 4 was more than available with a longer first stint - its not rocket science when you see your direct competitors doing 4. Thats where the team need to inform or make that change...

So when button beats Hamilton with a good strategy it is all because Button has amazing strategic sense. Of course when Hamilton beats Button it is all Mclarens fault....

Hamilton is just better.

Then he made a stupid decision. He outdrove the two people ahead of him when tyre wear was equal. It was onyl ever going to be like this at the end. I don't get who does the maths at mclaren sometimes :(
