I guess TDi north will be my first port of call if/when I become a honda fiend

here is a list of service centers world wide that should help you mate :)

Egg cup of gear oil came out. Been given a 12 month and or 6,000 mile warranty on the gearbox.

Tdi north or self service in future!!

is that in writing? i will be honest, i was quite happy with ABP and yours is the only horror story of significance.

might follow Stormsters good experience and give Area a go next time i need anything major doing.

next service is 75k so valve clearences etc.
so i may take the car to honda for an oil change and a log book stamp and then to a specialist for the rest of the stuff.

or is FHSH not worth keeping up?

It is indeed in writing. I don't want to give them a bad name, it has just put me off going there for future work.

TDi North know a lot more about setting up the suspension aswell. They have put a lot of time and effort into reverse engineering the setup to get the best out of the FN2.

So It's going there. Will take three hours to do!

I think if you intend on keeping the car a while then FSH isn't that essential. Mine has a few dealer stamps inc one since I've had it but all in all some TDI north and self servicing but everything is backed up with receipts, thats the important bit.

I've got over 2k's of receipts for mine since I've had it and I only bought it last oct lol.

I think when we're on the 75k marker it's not all that important, proving your car is a good one upon resale doesn't need main dealer stamps IMO :)

Area are good, I'm very pleased with their work indeed and am already booking in for more work (not mods though yet). But TDI are definitely tried and tested :)

Will @ RDT (Race Cyno Tuning) is supposed to be THE MAN. THink he's up on Rotherham though so not sure how close to you.

Built my friend one hell of a Hillclimb engine for his DC2 with 200hp at the Hubs with a nice straight power curve. Around 245hp on a normal generous dyno......... From a 1.8 :D:D

Was really pleased with 200 BHP, car sounded mental on vtec! Put a massive smile on my face lol[/QUOTE]

Nice, any mods or is it standard?

Anyone with eibach springs or generally, ever had an issue with one side/corner being lower than the rest?

My drivers side sits ever slightly a smidge lower, the passenger side rear has the biggest arch gap.

Eibach Sportlines on mine, only done about 300 miles on them so far mind, but I got them elsewhere than Area for a good price :)

It's quite common, happens on normal springs as well. It's to do with the way the engine is mounted, most of the weight is at the drivers side.

Stormster I was checking this stuff out ages ago. Cos i had same thing on Koni Yellow kit on my civic.
MilanoChris not fully true

In general EG/EK/ITR was designed with more weight on front left side so drivers weight (around 75kg) would even up weight distribution.
Thing is this was same for RHD and LHD cars. Go and have a look on ANY EG/EK/ITR europe LHD. In all of them there is 2-4cm difference more or less between front left and front right wheel arch. Its cos car w/o driver got more weight on front left side and when you add a driver in LHD it gets even worse.
My EG after koni still had around 1.5cm difference so that left side of my car was lower then right.
IN UK where you got RHD this is less noticeable cos driver sits where he should according to car design. But if some 80kg+ driver was using it for ages. Right side will be lower. Only option are Coilovers :p

Im not sure about Hondas pass 2001 ep3/dc5 ect.
ps. How much do you weight ??
ps2 I hope shiet i typed is readable no google chrome on this pc :/

I weigh about 13 stone, they've only done about 400 miles really since put on a week ago. I'll ask Area see what they think, everything drives fine, no drifting either way or pulling etc, you can literally let go of the wheel on a straight road and it goes straight for quite some time lol, the caster increase polybushes make the steering a bit heavier so it just sits there :D

I dunno about the torquing of bolts.. would have to ask :)

It's not hugely noticable but to me the passengers rear does look higher, the front is a smidge on the passengers side but not enough to really notice :)
