The FD2 on standard suspension is harsh and a lot stiffer in terms of the way it's sprung and torsional rigidity than the FN2. Most change the suspension to make it better on UK roads.

Even the Best Motoring video guys were ripping on the FD2s mega harsh ride when it was released. That must be saying something since the Japanese seem to love super hard suspension.

I read the other day that an FD2 is similar to an s2k in damping harshness
Was from a guy who owned both.

Will be honest, been in a few FN2 now and none of them are particularly pleasant compared to my car.

Would love to be able to drive one hard to compare it properly.

My conversations this morning have involved this...

rjkoneill: Good Morning, I have a JDM LSD that I would like fitted to my car, can you tell me how much this would cost?

Garage 1: We cannot fit an LSD in our workshop
Garage 2: We can fit your LSD for £279
Garage 3: We can fit your LSD for £446
Garage 4: We can fit your LSD for £410

beginning to wonder if it will actually be worth it. :(

Yes, I love my LSD - £279 doesn't sound too bad :o

Did you already install a lightweight fly and fresh clutch?

Try Gloucester Road Gearboxes Rjkoneill.

Personally I'd just source a JDM Gearbox off an EP3 ;)

already have the LSD arriving tomorrow - £300 all in.

Must be a really small garage if they can't fit an LSD in it.

well, that was ABP...

facelift has a lighter flywheel, a new clutch went in less than 1000 miles ago.

the £279 quote was eightspeed but they are 90 miles away.

Rich - have you spoken to TGM? Also Grinspeed?

not yet, will get onto them now.

For fitting an lsd 400 quid seems par for the course, well worth it though. When I get my fn2 it'll be one of the first mods to do, perhaps even the only mod I'll do, such was the improvement to handling on my fiesta st that had a quiafe atb fitted.

In a predicament..

New car was due for delivery in february so ill be looking to sell my EP3 pretty soon before it arrives.

http://www.civictype-r.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=128&t=265192

Dealer called today and said it had been delayed until possibly late march. However I've been offered my asking price :( I was willing to bus it for a few weeks but not months.

I'm worried if I hold on then I won't get what I want in a month or twos time. Added to that tax runs out end of march so if it gets delayed ill have to spend some more pennies.

I don't have access to another car so that's out of the question.

Do I buy a banger or just sit put and hope I get what I want?

Sorry for rambling
