Type R and VTEC owners

Born to kill, can I ask more about where you got your bulbs and makes/models etc as I am looking to do a light refresh on my motor :)

A member called "Mr JP" sells them, the link above is for his sets but he also sells each bulb on it's own so you can pick and choose. You can PM him, hes quite helpful, take a look at all his posts to see what he has first he also does HIDs if thats your thing.

Those reverse lights are a little bright!

Yeah thats the idea, so the missis doesnt reverse into anything when the dark evenings come.

i had rainsport 2 on my fiesta st. they were diabolical tyres. when you get the chance to change to something better, do so.

I only have them on the fronts, and ive driven them very hard in the dry and theyve not let go at all, and quite hard in the wet and I only got the understeer you would expect when you finally over do it.

But nothing more. They were OK on my fiesta but I certainly wouldn't want to run them on a type R.

Another thing to remember is that mismatched tyres on a type r is a really really bad idea.

True unfortantly the car came like that, I'll run them through the winter I doubt the missis will be doing much tri-podding in the car.

Its has Michelin Pilot Super Sports on the rears, never heard of these, though they appear to get good ratings?

Mitchelin Pilot Sup[er Sports are epic tyres. OE on many rear wheel drive BMWs, rated very highly by Gibbo on his Porsche and are the best tyre I have ever owned on any vehicle.

Kewl beans, the previous owner probably put some mid-range Rainsports on to sell the car, I'll replace with the supersports when their done. Best get myself down Santapod this weekend help them along a little bit.

I've got my mind set on getting an FN2 shortly, looking at a late one with the LSD, around perhaps 11k with < 40k mileage etc .

Have a 10 yr old car not in bad nic to part exchange which i imagine is about £500 mid to bottom book.

Should i expect much chance of haggling the price down on an 11k ish decent example ( i've not dealt with car dealers for a very long time, last 15 years of cars have been via private / friends / family ), it would be a cash purchase etc.

Spotted a farmer!

Hi, i'm sorry for hijacking but i didn't want to start a new thread. I recently bought a DC2 (UKDM) and my i've just got my insurance renewal through and i was wondering which insurance companies you can suggest, especially those who have modified cars.

I'm currently with Brentacre who i've been with for ages and they've been really good. They have come back with £843. Normally Adrian Flux are cheaper and use their quote to drive down Brentacre but they quoted over a grand.

I live in BD21 (Keighley, which is very close to Bradford, unfortunately), i've been driving for 8 years and have 7 years protected NCBs.

I know prices usually depend on all sorts of circumstances but i'm just after different companies to try.

Cheers!
