Type R and VTEC owners

Likely to be the secondary shaft bearing in the gearbox.

I guess you can hear it more next to concrete barriers and walls?

oh right, that hasnt popped up in my searches.
its coming from the near side rear so that surely wont be a gearbox issue?

I can hear it next to walls better yes but the sound seems to be in line with wheel rotation.

Will tighten the axel bolts today and see if there is any improvement as it seems to be a fairly simple fix so it makes sense to start with that I guess.

Honda want £160 to do an oil change...

which is obviously the most ridiculous thing ever.

At this point, is it worth keeping the FHSH or should I just find a decent garage to do it.

I would do it myself but mindful that a stamp on the book is going to impact the value of the car somewhat.

what do?

Personally i'd do it myself.

Keep hold of the receipt / invoice for the oil / filter cost and bang it in the service history. Decent oil and filter will cost £50 ish.

I'd get it done because of the way the s2k market is going. It's a two seater roaster that old dodders will want in years to come, FSH will be preferential for them and it's only £160.

that was my train of thought. I'm going to call the Jaguar/Sports car specialist where Gibbo takes his cars and see what they quote. Its only an oil change.

Off to see a CW FNpoo this Saturday.

Came home with a CW FNpoo this saturday.

Forgive the filter/snapchat, proper pics coming soon™
