Type R and VTEC owners

In other words, just get an 90's Jap car with turbo fitted from factory. Considering it was designed to have a turbo, chasing a bit more power shouldn't be that expensive, right?

Yup and be ready for repairs

My view has always been if you want a boosted car then buy one that's boosted from the factory.

But, they don't do a boosted petrol CU2 :( would have been alright if they offered us the V6.

Always the russians that seem to do more flamboyant things, wonder how much the swap cost all in.

Has anyone on here slapped a turbo on a K20? Would be nice to see how much everything costed.

I've got a FN2 with turbo fitted and lets just say it's not cheap. Tdi north charge £8000 for turbo kit fitted and mapped but you need to factor in other stuff such as exhaust, LSD, Clutch, Brakes, tyres etc. Supercharging can be done a lot cheaper. If you need any advice, I can give you some rough prices, I've owned pretty much every single supercharger aswell but turbo beats them all hands down :)

That's crazy money, might as well sell the car and get something with a turbo. Slap a blowoff valve of your choice and enjoy the choo choo noises. :D:p

I'm not really looking at getting a fast car, I just like the turbo/blow off valve noises.

I love your priorities :D

If i had the money, I'd go down the supercharge route as the car would be a daily, the low down grunt I would benefit from and I like supercharger whines

But the only reason i want to boost a car is if it's a car I like and it doesn't come with a higher power output version, IE Honda Accord K24 CL9/CU2, Who wouldn't like a CU2 pushing 250+bhp?

Was the supercharge stuff done on the same car or different cars? What was your experience like with them and might as well know about cost as well as running costs with a boosted engine?

Must admit I've been toying with the idea of getting another DC5 imported and supercharging it for track fun. The car is great in its own right, but more grunt is not to be sniffed at! Plus supercharger whine is hnnng

After spending a lot on my S2000 over the last 4 years, my consensus is: dont bother, just enjoy it for what it is and how Honda designed it.

You will never be happy, even if you think you will, its a never ending spiral to which you need very deep pockets!

There was a MUGEN concept but it never made it into mass production. I drove the prototype and it was a proper laugh.

I think Japan were the only ones to get a Honda made one in the CRX RZ flavour. I nearly went for a charged modded one a few months back but did bother going to view in the end. Bet it was just right for exploiting on the roads!
