That's a good point tbh, last season I think it was at this stage that Inter knocked Chelsea out and they looked a very good side then, they're a shadow of that this year and may not even make it past Bayern who themselves are only a worry if Robben is fit (which is next to never)
At the moment I'd say it's gonna be between Barca, Chelsea or maybe an outside bet on Real who while the Jose factor doesn't seem to be as big as it was at Inter as La Liga is only a two team league it's hard to really comment on Real Madrid against a top team as they've only played one so far this season.
Madrid are weird to watch, they have enough individual quality to win games but you only see flashes of team brilliance occasionally and they never feel like a front to back unit. Where Barca will be 3-0 up by half time, Real often struggle to get that first goal, but once they do the opposition usually open up enough for them to get more in.
Despite what some people say, I think the rest of La Liga is pretty cack these days (Valencia going out to a team that are mid-table in the Bundesliga tonight) and Madrid rarely get a thorough defensive examination (lol, Barca). When you watch a Mourihno team you expect to see discipline, being rock solid at the back, tactically astute, but Real currently possess none of these things.
THAT SAID, it took him a while to whip Inter into shape, so I suppose Madrid's success under him will depend on whether he's allowed to stay there long enough to shape things his way.
