Milner has been **** in everyone of the 3 games, only defence I can give him is that he's being played out of position because like in the aforementioned derby he's at his best when he's given a free role to just run about and not actually do anything other than put pressure on the opposition. He's rubbish in attack and doesn't actually have a brain or positional sense to help out in defence either.

As for Johnson like has been said his best moments have been his brilliant last ditch tackles, obviously not getting caught out in the first place would have made them moot though.

this is what i wanted from the start, PACE

now we go into the 2nd half still got to score! we need to channel down the wings, get a cross in, rinse, repeat. walcott and oxc can do this.

He's been one of the worst before tonight, and even tonight he's been poor. What's this having to run all the way around the ball instead of using his left?

In what way? I love how this happens every tournament, we've barely moved the ball over the half way line, what are you expecting Welbeck to do? Drop deep, pick up the ball, beat five players and chip the keeper? In the end we have got him zero service, the middle two have done nothing.
 
Carroll would have most probably buried that header. That's the problem when you choose players simple because of reputation. Rooney has been very poor and England have been shocking, yet in the other 2 games they haven't been all that bad. What England would normally do is... not make any changes and hope they can hang on, if they go down, they will react and make some changes. What they need to do is make a change now.

I'd take Rooney/Milner off for Walcott and OX and put young just behind welbeck and go for it.
 
Even in the Spain - Denmark game both sides worked their backsides off and from what I remember it was very likely that Spain would go through but they didn't sit back and act casual.

Please give it a rest with your constant Defoe > Welbeck rubbish. Defoe would add nothing to this current England side. If either striker is replaced then it's with Carroll
