Yeah, Milner is there to cover Johnson and help out defensively but he's not even good at that.

He's slow, donkey-like and doesn't cross well most of the time.

They've all been rubbish, but how many times does Joe Hart have to hoof the ball back to Ukraine before figuring out passing it is one million times better.
 
This is just absolutely awful. What's the deal with the ball bouncing off Milner every time he gets it? Ashley Young seems to go down if someone just as much sneezes near him, and in our mid field the plan seems to be about passing it back to the keeper as soon as someone gets near them. It's just horrible. If we play like this in the quarter finals then we deserve to get thrashed and sent home. It's just horrible football really.
 
We're just getting the simple things wrong.

Simple passes, covering your man and running in to space are things taught to five year olds for crying out loud. Why can't the 'best' we have to offer get these basics right?

Couldn't agree more with that.

I know we only need a point, but 1 goal to Ukraine and were out, it makes more sense to come out all guns blazing and snatch at least 1 goal.

The Ukraine defence isn't the best after all.

I know! It's like everything they 'know' goes out the window as soon as they get together and put on an england shirt. It's terrible football and terrible to watch.

You're right it is all a matter of opinion and I find it odd that if you're complaining about a defender's positional play that your answer is Micah Richards.

No need for the screen shot, even the most hardened Utd fan can't disagree with that. He's been head and shoulders above anybody on the pitch today.
