I just think he is completely forgetable (just like Downing)

Dont get me wrong, City have a pretty formidable team, but even you said you had to play your strongest team which doesnt include him. Would he get into any of Utd's , Chelsea's , Arsenal's or even Spurs' first teams is also questionable imo (edit 2 - you could probably include Newcastle aswell)

He is the prime example of a mid-table 1st teamer imo

The problem is that Liverpool were aiming for top 4 (maybe top 6 if you are generous) , in the quality of team one needs to get there he would stand out as a weak link (moderate squad player, terrible 1st team option though)

Nice to see Roy giving some of the least expected players a chance in such a big game. I was expecting Downing and Carroll to start given they have featured more for England, but was pleased when I saw the side. Think Welbeck offers more than Carroll and from the brief performances I saw in the warm up games seems better suited to the style Roy is aiming for.

I do hope though that should we need a goal in this game he opts for Defoe over Carroll.

Ox is a risk, but as others have pointed out, if he freezes and has a mare, its not worse than having Downing on the pitch. In regards to Milner, don't see what the issue is, his work rate is probably better than most in the team, and when Johnson gets caught out (which is likely) he will be able to cover.

As for potential balls ups, I think JT might cause that today, just have this feeling.

As much as I don't want to see England do well, I really dislike France and a fair few of their players.

Maybe England to stay in the competition until I'm in scotland for the semis and can watch in a pub there.
 
Need help!! I normally use tv catchup im at work and its not loading, moaning about ad blocker and I have no adblockers or even AV installed on this machine.

WTF, what can I do.
