If any of the other games has shown what it will be like playing your first game in the tournament, it's that you most definitely do not want to lose.

Only way I can see England getting anything is attacking the right side and taking on Evra. Mexes is also a liability at cb, so theres that to count on. France can be beating if you go at them but watching their friendly games in the past few weeks, they look so dangerous going forward. They can hurt any defence.
England should play wide, I don't see them going through France. France are going to make the pitch narrow and use Ribery to open up England.

I think the heat could definitely be an issue.
Let's face it, we aren't going to be playing possession football under Roy, it's going to be counter attacking hoofball, or some variation of it in all likelihood.
Playing that way requires a lot of chasing the ball and closing down. Dominating possession would be more favourable in these conditions. Damn.
