The sightings began on November 10, 2004, and lasted for several days. The objects would appear on the carrier’s radar systems for short periods, seeming to hover still, and then fly off at high speeds.

Confused by exactly what was going on, the crew decided to investigate. When the object appeared again a few days later a pair of F/A-18Fs was directed to check out the strange signals. The result is the now famous video showing the “Tic-Tac” shaped UFO cruising along at incredibly high speeds and making rapid changes in altitude.

In the new report, the object is described as “solid white, smooth, with no edges,” and being “uniformly colored with no nacelles, pylons, or wings.” The report says the object was estimated to be about 46 feet long. By comparison, the F/A-18 fighters that were trailing it measure around 56 feet in length, meaning that whatever it was that the Navy spotted could feasibly hold one or more human-sized individuals.

The pilot said they never felt as though the object was a threat, but the report notes that the AAV seemed to react to the presence of the jets, “demonstrating an advanced acceleration, aerodynamic, and propulsion capability.”

Throughout the several days of seeing the object come and go, the Navy says it may have demonstrated the ability to “cloak” and disappear to the human eye. Its rapid descent from 60,000 feet to just 50 feet before disappearing also made officials consider the possibility that it was capable of operating underwater, effortlessly moving from the air to the sea at will.

Was it seen with the naked eye or just as usual the onboard computer? there's probably some kind of 'UFO sighting' sub-routine built into the computer systems of planes to scare the US government **** into throwing hundreds of billions into further arms/military R&D spending.

Personally I have seen it back in 1988


Also is worth to watch Paul Hellyer videos like this one. He was Canada's Defence Minister.


There are roughly 80 species, all but two are friendly, while those having pretty good similarities on looking like humans, live between us freely.

I've seen exactly what he saw in that 2011 vid over cambridge at night. Same movement, speed and look. A group like that that seemed to move in formation, but then just darting about and then sped off. Was exactly like above.

Summer 1988 over the Corinthian Gulf in Greece, I was fishing with my uncle and the boat that night. I saw also something similar in the middle of the night. Two similar things dip into the water, and then few seconds later went sky high.
A police woman from Itea town, was on the newspapers next day, claiming she saw this also on her port patrol. But the story was buried the day after.

What is interesting few days later there was a fleet of research ships including even Cousteau "exploring" the waters of the Corinthian Gulf. Their findings? Sunken ships from classical era with amphorae having wine etc... Basically something common across all the Mediterranean.

If you watch the video I posted from Paul Hellyer, it says around 1h mark, that the US has made a deal for human & animal abductions and experiments, in exchange for tech.
Something other countries strongly were against.
 
Looks like the red dwarf bug to me.
Definitely a UFO but that doesn't mean it's not of this earth :).
There's life out there I'm sure, and planets like ours, but whether that means we can reach out to each other is a different matter. I really don't think they'd come here to do a "fly by". Most likely life flourishes and dies in each system. Doesn't mean we can't keep trying but I suspect we'll be gone long before we find other life we can get to, sadly. Our planet has limited resources for a start. At current max speeds isn't the nearest planet that "might" be able to support life something like 10,000 years of travel away?
Of course things possible 30,40 50 yeas ago that were though impossible are possible today I'm sure.

The array of technologies involved on reading the military response to the 2004 incident is staggering. The ships were only able to partially monitor the "craft" :

The report (PDF here) explains in great details how a US Navy aircraft carrier played a strange game of hide and seek with multiple Anomalous Aerial Vehicles (AAVs) that demonstrated flight characteristics that should be downright impossible to pull off.

Paul Hellyer is notorious for regurgitating things he has read in public domain UFO books. He offers no evidence based on his time as defence minister and thus his credentials add nothing. He is gullible and damaging to the topic in my opinion.

Your will to believe should never give any claims an automatic pass. The UFO topic is a toxic mess with many shady characters and egomaniacs using it to make money or push agendas.
