You mean by providing them training for the best part of a decade, being the country who was leading by sending arms to defend themselves while the rest of the world sent "thoughts, prayers and condemnation". The ones leading in pushing for sanctions. The ones pushing for other countries to follow our lead? By underwriting nearly a billion in funding for them.

Who would you rather have sent? Starmer who probably would have sent a pot plant. Corbyn? Who would probably have been cheering the Russians on. Nicola Sturgeon who would have probably used it to call for Scottish independence?

Get a grip.

Boris has handled this better than any other leader on the world stage short of Zelenskiy himself.

Theres a reason the Ukrainians are shouting "God save the Queen" and "thank you Boris". Our contribution may not be the largest in dollar amount or number of arms sent, but we were the first to be piling over what we could and leading the way while other countries and institutions sat on their hands.
Boris hasn’t done that though. He can’t even tell when he’s at a party. Thankfully there are competent people around him to do these things. He’s nothing more than an embarrassing figure head who is managed by those around him to do the least damage.

I think you need to pay attention to line 3 of what you quoted and stop sucking lemons. If your only reply to this is "but partygate" then you really have nothing to grasp at.

isn't it more her job?
Not really. Besides this was more that just a social visit to discuss foreign policy, this was meant to be a statement of solidarity. Sending a lacky, especially when Boris has spent so much time talking remotely and directly dosnt inspire a whole lot of confidence.
He did the right thing here, dont let your blinkers get in the way of realising that!

We have an incompetent PM, deal with it. It’s hardly news.
but he's amazing when it comes to photo opportunities.

look at all the Ukranians struggling to get into our country such an amazing job boris... I heard about 5 have made it so far.

the cynic in me wonders if zelenksy is fine with that and actively encouraging his buddy boris to make it as slow as possible, less brain drain = good for ukraine.

ain't no one reaching the UK with their family tree ever going back

I refer you back to my previous comment.
let's face it boris went to get his friend fishy rishi off the front pages.

whys the ukrainian immigration scheme doing so poorly? whats the hold up? ahh yes thats something in our country which mean's it;s guaranteed to be a fail because boris only pays attention to the world stage where he can harvest kudos

*Finland and Sweden Set to Join NATO As Soon As Summer — The Times

In record time Putin has gone from wanting to deter people from joining NATO, to potentially doubling how much border he shares with NATO countries.

*slow clap*

Oh well at least I know ww3 will be in my lifetime now.

A sad little burnt out Putin doing the only thing possible as he feels backed into a corner.

Going to Vegas with my pension pot.

#Austria's Chancellor Karl Nehammer will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, a government spokesperson says, in what would be the first face-to-face meeting between Putin and an EU leader since#Russia's Feb. 24 invasion of#Ukraine

On the one hand talks with Putin may be a buffer against the potential effects of being somewhat remote to the situation if not isolated and the risks of becoming convinced of his own reality of the situation on the other hand I think stuff like this is more likely going to be sowing diversion amongst Europe on Russia's terms.

Could also be a chance to gain some intel on the Kremlin's disposition.
