Second vice news part is up on that note as well.
Even though those are aggressor soldiers dying, it is sad watching their mothers mourning and getting no information about the circumstances of their death and not getting any support as well. Long known fact - human life has no value for Russian government.

The same can be said about the US with their drone strikes and the "collateral damage" they cause.

Russia's no saint but no one else is either, none of them have the moral high ground.

There is this perception that RPASs are flying around laying waste to lands and decimating populations, when in fact they have a tiny blast radius compared to any other form of ordnance. Not only that but the shot can be aborted after firing and diverted to a pre determined "safe zone". The alternative to such precise tactical targeting is troops on the ground.

So you can either have drones indiscriminately killing civilians or US marines doing it, well at least the drones don't drive round in pickups drinking BBQ sauce and yelling Murica! in their spare time XD

Yes, that is exactly what is happening, indiscriminate massacring of innocent people. Hell, it's a good job the marines aren't there also, they'd be pretty peeved at the lack of civilians to murder since all the "drones" have already got to them.

Also, "drone"

Pretty sure the US have more than one, even Ukraine has multiple.

He's being a snob :p the official british term is RPAS. It wasn't a comment on the numbers.

Oh naturally, no matter what side you take its still a human tragedy. Its not looking good for the miners in donbass either.

:) I hate the term drone, when used it implies ignorance. Funnily enough it's the term often banded around in sensationalist news articles.

That's because it's been the common name for UAV's for decades, so that's what people know them as, if you start calling them UAV's or whatever the British acronym was then people will get confused.

OT: Kiev have reintroduced some of their stored Tu-141/143 reconnaissance drones back into service (despite their age they are still very capable and have excellent cameras).

Bit of a turn up for the books

The car sought in connection with the murder of Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov belongs to a federal state unitary enterprise (FSUE) providing services to the Finance Ministry, Goznak, the Russian state body that prints banknotes, and other agencies, the Finance Ministry said on Wednesday.

 no they haven't

But just so you know, it's like calling a car a "brum brum".

You know what this is called? An orgy of evidence, so much evidence pointing to a regime act, that in all likelihood it is actually been staged to look like that. Or it could be a double bluff, because what are the Russian's going to say first? That the CIA made it look that way.
