All these attacks in Belgorod is clearly to suppress Russia's ability to restart their campaign against Kharkiv which allows Ukraine to focus elsewhere. Russia's only options are either to overhaul it's entire supply chain to be diffuse which still relies almost entirely on rail or more likely just send a force with limited munitions with no prospect for resupply at great cost, suspect they may opt for the latter if Ukraine is looking to gain enough momentum to encircle Kherson. Assuming news spreads among Russian forces that they're being used in that way I can't see much enthusiasm and it could well shorten the siege for Kherson with an near-immediate mass surrender.
Any time line for the mass surrender..
Apart from near immediate?
This week? Sunday? Before next weekend?

I mean if the nuclear cataclysm hasn’t happened already. That might of been today.

I was watching one of the Russia Youtubers (who as moved out of Russia) showing some of the Russia propaganda shows. Not even the audiences were in to it.

The propaganda is all over the place. Trying to incite nationalism using communist rhetoric was never going to work.

A lot of Russians are moving out of Russia, especially as some EU countries are stopping processing visas, while some are revoking current ones.

The West needs to make the message clear that we're not against the Russia people.

*SNIP*
Don't underestimate the mid to older generation who WANT a return to communism. (My wife used to work in Ukraine and Russia and the communism vibe is still strong).

They can still apply for asylum.

You too can buy the latest russian military tech; just head straight to China's Alibaba

Yes that's right, Russia used an off shelf cheap Chinese robotic dog that anyone can buy online to try and trick the world into thinking it has robotic weapons systems

Russia do this **** all the time, anyone remember the bipedal robot that turned out to be a man in a suit?

Is there's anyway to see a front line illustration. The news recently has been filled with Ukraine making headway into the donbas/Crimea area but I'd like help visualising an actual me understand how this is panning out.

Fukushima and Chernobyl were very different though, if they blow up the reactor cores then it will be Chernobyl 2.0
That tweet is a good example of the media fearmongering I was mentioning above.

For reference, no there is zero chance of it becoming Chernobyl 2.0, it's simply not possible. The plant in question wasn't designed in the 50s with the assumption that no operators would be arrogant/incompetent enough to blow up their own reactor, it was built in the mid to late 80s/early 90s and is a VVER design with world class safety/control systems, It's generations ahead of the RMBK used in Chernobyl (and many of the reactors still used by the UK). Of course if Russia chose to carpet bomb the plant then it's possible things could potentially get as bad as Fukushima, but it's highly unlikely they would do that as it would be impossible to blame on Ukraine and the consequences would impact them worse.

Back in 2018 the Communist party got 11% of the vote, it's been steadily decreasing since the 40% they got in 1996. They're still Putin's main opposition but their popularity only wanes with time.
