Haven't seen much actual use of T-62s in Ukraine by Russian forces yet, aside from some use by LNR, etc., despite large numbers of them being pulled out of storage.

On a comical note, the upgraded armour attached to the turret on the T-62M is commonly called Brezhnev's Eyebrows, because it looks like the caterpillar-esque eyebrows of former Soviet premier, field marshal and hero of the Soviet union Leonid Brezhnev.

Brezhnev was Ukrainian xD

On a less comical note, the reason large numbers of T-62 were being pulled out of storage and upgraded to T-62M standard post 2017 is because Russia have been flogging them to Syria, as Syria couldn't afford T-72s so Russia pulled T-62s out of the scrapyard and started "modernising" them for export. So you know their war machine is grinding to a halt when they're siphoning off their export of tarted up 60 year old tanks.

Short term political thinking desperate to get former Eastern block countries aligned. Despite huge cultural and political societal differences.
You should be able to recognise it.

Exactly why they shouldn’t be in the ‘defensive’ organisation though seems a bizarre question. What had anything got to do with defense?
Is it they have to follow your political outlook?
Like everyone approach to Turkey.Supply the troops and do as you’re told.

The same reason Turkey is in NATO and Saudi Arabia is a major western ally, we wanted them to be friends with us not Russia, we didn't particularly care if they were good friends to have.
